Missing Trait/Spell

Hello,

I'm getting this error when trying to import a pathfinder character made on another version of Hero Lab:

"
One or more required sources are not accessible for hero. Subsequent errors may be the result of this problem.
Pick 'trExtotSoc' has been orphaned due to missing thing in batch '448'
Pick 'spEnhaDip0' has been orphaned due to missing thing in batch '464'
"

Similar posts say just to ignore the error and add whatever is missing after saving the character, but in my case the trait/spell is not showing up in Hero Lab. They are the "Exalted of the Society" trait, and a level 0 "Enhanced Diplomacy" spell.

I have the Ultimate Combat and Advanced Players Guide packages.

What am I missing? Thanks in advance...

On the copy of HL that's having trouble, go to the license menu, and choose the "Re-activate License" option - that copy might not be recognizing your purchases yet, if you made the purchases on the other copy.

I did that, same error...those two items are in the extra packages right? Could it be something I'm missing in the Configure Hero settings?

Is there anything I can do editing the character's .por file? Here are the relevant lines:

</pick>
<pick thing="trExtotSoc" index="530" batchindex="448" uniqueness="useronce" refcount="0" fieldcount="2" source="trTable" secondary="yes" default="yes">
<field id="usrChosen1"></field>
<field id="usrChosen2"></field>
...
<pick thing="spEnhaDip0" index="550" batchindex="464" refcount="0" tablelinkid="cHelpClr" source="ClsSplMem" agentid="cHelpClr" default="yes"></pick>

Thx for the help...

Named nonmagical items still cannot be augmented. Ex. Elven Chain cannot be adjusted to Elven Chain +1.

Did you create this on a friend's computer? One who owns more packages than you do?

You mentioned that you owned the APG and UC packages. Do you also own Player's Companion: Regions #1 (the Enhanced Diplomacy spell comes from the Taldor book that's in that package), and Campaign Setting #2 (the Exalted of the Society trait comes from the Pathfinder Society book that's in that package)?

The "Unarmed" Fighter archetype is removing medium and heavy armor proficiency and shield proficiency from your list of feats, even if you get them from another source (paladin). Even if you manually add them as chosen feats, you are treated as non-proficient.

PFS FAQ
For PFS:
Can I Upgrade a Named Magic Item?

Named magic items—including specific armor and specific weapons—are not upgradeable. Non-magic specific armor and specific weapons may be upgraded normally. Magic armor and weapons may be upgraded to named versions if they are the same basic material and shape as, and meet but do not exceed the enhancement bonuses of the named versions. Wondrous items whose names include a +X value (such as bracers of armor, headband of vast intelligence, amulet of might fists, etc.) may also be upgraded following the rules for upgrading magical items on page 19 of the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play.

Bolding mine

Yes. That must be it. Thanks Mathias!

Just purchased these two and re-activated, but it seems to still be missing the Exalted of the Society trait...still getting an error for that one...it's definitely in Campaign Setting #2?

Is there a list of included traits/spells/etc. for each of the packages?

I apologize - Exalted of the Society is in the Faction Guide, which is campaign setting #4 - I just saw the Pathfinder Society part and forgot that this trait wasn't from the Pathfinder Society book).

If you page through the book itself, you can take a look at what items are there, and know what to expect in the package in Hero Lab.

There is one issue that I'm having with herolab (pathfinder version I'm using), using wordspells. When you create more favorite wordspells then the spell box can hold, it doesn't create the scrollbar and the list of spells continues off the porgram page.

It might be an easy fix but I don't know.. thank you for the great program! I wouldn't have figured out how cool wordspells are without it!

EDIT: Perhaps there could be a seperate tab for favorite wordspells creations, as the base spell list (class tab) doesn't start scrolling unless the list reaches the bottom of the page, but that also pushes your favorite wordspell creations off the page completely. Seperating the lists onto different tabs might be the easiest fix? Thanks!

Headband of Vast Intellect +6 problem

I've just added one to a character and I can still only select 2 skills for it.

"a headband of vast intelligence has one skill associated with it per +2 bonus it grants. After being worn for 24 hours, the headband grants a number of skill ranks in those skills equal to the wearer's total Hit Dice. "

So it should be giving 3 skills

I'm afraid I can't duplciate this - when I add a headband +6, there's a helper item - a fake magic item - added to the list with the main item, and I can add the third skill there.

It's not an error, look at the top of the magic items list and there is an extra entry for the third skill selection. (This gives it two entries on the magical items tab)

It puzzled me at first, but it is there and I'm using it in my current campaign.

Magus cannot take Arcane Strike feat. Says "This ability (or equivilant) has already been added to the hero".

In playtest they declared they could not stack, but it was removed for the final re-write. Just checked the PRD / FAQ and verified there is no longer any mention of the two not working (obviously though both cannot be activated in the same round)

Thanks for you and Mathias, it was off the screen and I missed it.

I just reproduced a Salamander out of the book with hero lab - this means, I merely added a spear. When carrying the spear in both hands, attack bonus and bonus damage for high strength are reduced for the tail slap. - While this is correct, that should NOT happen to the constrict damage - the monster entry still gives that as 2d6+4, not 2d6+1 like the tailslap.

- That means, that the "Constrict"-Ability has to ignore the fact that the tailslap became a secondary attack due to the spear.

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/outsiders/salamander

Or simpler, Constrict damage = unmodified melee damage (Tail slap)

I made a Fighter with the Tactician Archetype, which removes the Fighter's Heavy Armor Proficiency, I then add the Heavy Armor Proficiency feat. It is still calling out the character as not proficient in Heavy Armor when I add Heavy Armor to her.
