Savage Worlds Bug Reports

Okay, so if you are NOT using Multiple Languages option and sticking to rules of Languages as skills...I still get the validation error for wrong number of Language Slots. Isn't that only supposed to be for Multiple Languages option? If so, any chance that can disappear when using languages as skills?

Assuming I am understanding the language slots correctly.

Ah, okay, that was a list of things being fixed by latest update, got it.

Well, with new update:

Quick is saying it REQUIRES the Hesitant Hindrance, though Hesitant is correctly stating that its precluded by having Quick.

Super Karma from the 2nd edition Super Powers Companion isn't working correctly now, where it was before. Have two major and two minor hindrances, but saying overspent 2 rewards, 6 of 4, instead of 6 of 6.

OK, I was removing those Language validations, I'll check it.

OK, I see the issue with Quick, on that too.

I'll fix Super Karma, not sure why that started failing.

Well, shoot. I had added appenddesc and in the shuffle of some changes pushed down from Lone Wolf it got overwritten. I've added it back, and we'll get a fix out quick to cover this and the other items. I'll hold off until next week to give any other issues a chance to show themselves.

Thank you sir! :) Appreciate all you do!

Problems after updates

I just updated to "Savage Worlds with source (6.1)" and "Deadlands:Reloaded (v4.0)"

However I now get the following error messages each time I load the "Savage World" game:

Thing 'edgArcDLChSWADE' - Thing requires thing 'edgMartial1SWADE' that does not exist
Thing 'edgDLRightSWADE' - Thing requires thing 'edgTrademarkSWADE' that does not exist
Thing 'edgDLScoutSWADE' - Thing requires thing 'edgWoodsmanSWADE' that does not exist

Is this on a specific character portfolio? Or when you open Savage Worlds itself?

I looked, and all of those should be present. Look on your Edges list and see if Martial Artist, Trademark Weapon, and Woodsman appear.

It was when opening Savage Worlds itself and only since updating. I did notice, after posting, that the core for Savage Worlds was now the Adventure Edition rather than the Deluxe.

Can't remember if I had noticed the upgrade module to purchase previously or if I had ignored it as I had not gotten the physical RPG books for that edition so assumed I wouldn't need it.

Anyway, now Adventure Edition seems to be the core SW system (though the product page says Deluxe, the purchase options just show Adventure Edition) I have purchased the "Upgrade to Adventure Edition" module.

As soon as I Reactivated the licence, after the purchase, the SW game system loads without any errors.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly and apologies for any confusion caused.

A few things regarding SWADE setting:

  1. Starships and Walkers do not have the "Handling" option available. While a part of the SciFi Companion, they are used in Last Parsec which has a conversion guide to SWADE, so would be helpful.
  2. The following weapons do not have the proper Sources tagged so will show up always available:
    • Dagger (Sources not checked for Medieval & Black Powder)
    • M1 (Sources not checked for Modern)
    • Sharps Big 50 (Sources not checked for Modern)

When I load up the new updated 6.1 version I get the following error message.
Source 'POTSM' - Reference to non-existent parent source 'sepPotSM'

Quickest fix is to download the Pirates of the Spanish Main Setting file. I've got something cross-linked and that will cover you until I fix it.
