Savage Worlds Bug Reports

2ed SWADE Bug Linguist Edge is giving out there full Smarts instead of half smarts in free languages. Works fine with the Extra Languages Rule turned on.

1. Elderly - It is affecting all three, but it's affecting the die type not the rolls. This will be fixed.
2. Linguist - Yeah, there's still a kink in this, apparently. Don't forget that once you have Linguist or Multiple Languages, you also get your Native Language at d8 for free, too. And the Languages have to be at least d6 to qualify.

There are a lot of moving parts in this update, and a lot changed. I tried to be as thorough as I could with cross-checking everything, and the Companion material is a best guess until they complete their updates at Pinnacle.

* Outsider hindrance should be user-selectable for Minor/Major. Currently there's no way to choose. (However, when bootstrapping, adding User.HindMajor does change it to Outsider (Major) on the Hindrances tab (not on the Summary tab though).)

* Mouseover for Toughness doesn't display any adjustments due to Size.

* Size also doesn't seem to affect herofield[acMaxWound] value according to the Size Table (pg 179) (4-7=+1 Wounds, 8-11= +2 Wounds, 12+ = +3 Wounds)

Error Messages after SWADE upgrade

Good afternoon,
after installing the new SWADE upgrade, I am receiving the following errors and no custom content is available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[SWADE] When building NPCs go when you add the 10th Attribute Point the advances go from 13 to 32 not 17.

[SWADE] Armor that has Ballistic Protection doesn't indicate as such and no way to mark it in the editor.

Per SWADE pg 70 under Modern Armor:
Ballistic Protection: Armor marked with an asterisk reduces the damage from bullets by 4. “Bullets” includes physical shot fired from a firearm.
 
Athletics in SW Deluxe Edition

So I've bought the Adventure Edition package, re-validated my licenses. Now when I load up character files that were created using Deluxe before the update, I see the validation has spewed out errors because the Adventure Edition is checked on in the Character Configuration. When I un-check Adventure Edition, the rule validations clear up any errors that pop up except for the Athletics skill. It doesn't show up even with the check to Replace Swimming/Climbing/Throwing with Athletics is on.

It's coming up with a warning "Athletics: This selection is not permitted (all effects are ignored) ** Dependency Errors ** Warnings Encountered.

This will break any older characters still using Deluxe rules and any Professional Edges requiring Climb that have been replaced with Athletics. i.e. Assassin and Thief has Climb d6+ as a requirement.
 
Some of text overlaps in the descriptions of Barrier, Blast, Boost/Low Trait, Burrow, Detect/Conceal Arcana, Elemental Manipulation, Healing, Mind Wipe, Protection, Sloth/Speed, Teleport, & Zombie. It looks like it's mostly in the Modifiers portion, but not always.
 
SWDeluxe Athletics vs SWADE Athletics

Digging a little more into Athletics between Deluxe and SWADE rules and HL toggles.

So I noticed when I'm using a non-upgraded version of the SW Deluxe data rules, Athletics is linked to Vigor and not Agility. This is check the box for Replace Climbing/Swimming with Athletics. Uncheck it and Climbing and Swimming appear back in the Skill list.

Under SWADE, it's linked to Agility. In the updated version of SW for SWADE, when I turn off SWADE and check on Replace Climbing/Swimming/Throwing with Athletics, Athletics doesn't show up at all, nor does the linked skills associated with Athletics.

This could be a bug between versions.
 
OK, status:

1. Elderly - fixed
2. Linguist - I went ahead and removed the validation on this from SWADE. It doesn't really serve much of a purpose with Languages being Skills
3. Outsider is now has selectable severity
4. Toughness now shows Size on mouseover
5. Size affects Max Wounds now
6. The NPC Advance/XP count is fixed (yeah, Deluxe too lol)
7. Adding Skills is a half Advance
8. Armor already has Basliistic Protection as a field - not sure what is meant here
9. Deluxe version has had the Athletics Skill option replaced
10. hinHabit is fixed
11. Acceleration and Climb removed from InfoVeh
12. Went through and checked/fixed the Uniqueness on all revised SWADE Edges

I am still looking at the issue with the text on the Powers.

Anything else I need to look at?

For SWADE, it looks like they removed the varying Ballistic Protection values and for Modern and Futuristic Armor added it as a "quality" indicated with an * at the armor value. Can probably do it with a Tag or something I think so no biggie.

I did find an issue with the Scholar edge. It's set to unique, but supposed to be able to be taken multiple times.
