Sleep option for reset

Hey,
I just spent a few minutes looking through Hero lab looking for an option for my character to 'Rest' to reset my spells and get hitpoints back based on lvl etc. But i couldn't find any option for this... is it in there and im just being stupid or is this something that may get implemented or has it not been put in for a reason?

Thanks in advance

This would be great...right now have to manually reset all my spells each time...and when you're in the Teens you have a lot of spells to reset.

Druid Wild Shape

Has there been any work for the Druid Wildshape?
This seems to be a natural for a software program to calculate all the aspects of the animal conversion, Size, stats, Items, armor, spells, feats, traits...
With the three Beastaries of forms to choose from, I am ust wondering if there is an easier way to calculate the stats, Armor, AC, Attacks for each form taken?

The last posts I have seen from from 3 years or so ago.

Two things I woul dlike to see in Hero Lab:
1) Keeping the changes I make to the format for each character.
Onthe Character sheet I will remove columns, save the protfolio, then when I reopen it, the columns I removed are back and I have to remove them again.

2) Summoned Creatures. With some of the druid feats and spells you can modify your summoned creatures. And with the Beastary mods, you have access to the creature, why not an option for summoned creatures on the character sheet.

Can't you just do a "Stock" import of the creature into your portfolio then you could easily use the dashboard to switch to it and apply feats like "Augment Summoning" and stuff.

I would like for the wizard's entire spell book to show up when I save it using the output hero statblock and/or I would like to be allowed to save the entire spellbook as its own file.

Values Break Downs

Ok. I figured I'd get a response to this faster than trying to find it (if it's been asked before). I'm new to Hero Lab. Is there somewhere (or some way) to find how the program came up to all the values (For example, if you hover over Armor Class on the abilities tab, it shows how it came to the AC total). But, it doesn't do it with everything. The program needs (if it doesn't already have it) a calculations page.

If you go to Develop -> Enable Data File Debugging you can then right click on things and "Show Debug Fields", which can give you insight into what sort of bonus things are getting, though not the source of those adjustments.

We pride ourselves on making the program the best it can be, so if you see something you think is not being calculated correctly, please post it in the bug thread so we can investigate the issue.

I personally would like the Wizard's spellbook to actually show what spells are in what book and how many pages are being used. My players 12th lvl Evoker now has 6 spellbooks and it is a PITA to verify each spell from each book is accounted for.

May as well join the club. :)

Portfolios
-Please add the capability on "Portfolios->Import Hero from Portfolio" to select multiple .por files at one time.
-"Portfolios->Export hero to new Portfolio" can it be changed to always make the new .por file the name of the hero actually being exported. Currently it's always the first one.

Editor
-Can we get Syntax highlighting in Eval scripts inside the Editor? My old eyes can't deal with code all the same color anymore. :(

I'll chip in.

Can you make the dice roller use more fields for multiple dice instead of one selector box that says Roll (-) D (-) , where the numbers are entered in the (-) parts. I'd like to be able to select say a miss chance roll, and a Caster level roll, and a attack roll and the weapon damage roll and any extra damage roll.

Currently in my sessions I'm rolling a miss chance. Reset field!
Then rolling the Caster level check. Reset field!
Then rolling the attack. Reset field!
Then rolling the Weapon Damage! Reset field!
Then rolling Force Damage! Reset field.
Then Rolling..... Blah blah blah

You get the picture?
Having multiple dice rolls would save a lot of tedium at the table as the numbers would appear in one go.

Request: Beast shape (N) integration

I'd be awesome if we could select Beast Shape (I to IV) as a spell adjustment and select the type of creature and have the natural weapon types, movement types auto-populate.

I tried to do this and had some success but there are ways that the data interacts that I just can't make sense of. If I even have it in the bar of Spell Adjustments (not even selected) it puts all possible movement types and their associated bonuses in the [Skill] tab, all the 'possible' natural attack types in the [Weapons] tab which isn't a big deal for me to use but for mass-consumption it will just lead to confusion.

So as an example if I load my current (homebrew) iteration of Beast Shape I (Med) it grants a +8 Climb and Swim bonus in [Skills] as well as bite, claw, gore and Headbutt in [Weapons].

I would think this would be good for Elemental Body and Form of the Dragon too.

To have Item Powers such as Moderate Fortification, Electrical Resistance, etc. show up on the Specials Tab only while the item is equipped.

Feats

Would it be possible to add a feature that checks feats and sugests feats that are part of feat chains when you level and have access to new feats?

I must admit. I am rather unhappy with the stat block output for an entire portfolio. There seems to be no "bare bones" or compact version which is useful when I'm printing out an entire portfolio for reference in an encounter. I don't need to know about the monster's ecology or other fairly irrelevant information.

Currently I must cull a fair bit of text and then re-format it into two columns.

The option to hide all but checked weapons and wield styles in printed and outputs. I do not need to see hand to hand or 2h use of a longsword on my phalanx fighter.

Show item enchantments such as Flaming, Bane, Speed, etc. in the name block and actually show it, current output truncates after the first line. Secondly, show the effect such as Fire +1d6, Bane(Orc) +2d6... etc.

Option to show book and page number for abilities, feats, spells etc. instead of a description.

CSS and XML templates with full output options, the current output is a good start but I want more.

Request: Ship Stats

So I was reading the Skull & Shackles Player's Guide and thought "Wow! This ship creation system would be awesome in HeroLab" ... and while I know it's not going to be high on the list, it'd be cool to be able to create ships for characters in HL ;)
