Pathfinder Bug reports

I'd say the Language Selection list, selecting all other languages removes them from the list.

However, Chelaxian, Shoanti, Strix, Thassilonian, and Varisian aren't removed, and can be selected multiple times.

Oops - forgot to set them as unique. I'll get this fixed, and I might as well set the program to force languages to be unique, so that users don't have to worry about it.

Correction - I've set those to unique, but since the generic language still needs to be there, I can't force everything to be unique.

I'm having trouble getting spiked shields to show up under the weapons tab as a secondary attack. It shows up under the weapons tab, but it doesn't have a checkbox for primary or secondary weapon. Also, when I add the Bashing property, it doesn't update the damage under the weapons tab.

Known bugs that haven't been gotten to. I can't tell you when I'll get a chance to fix rarely used things like these.

If shield bashing is so rarely used then why are there three feats dedicated for it? I like shield bash it gives a fighter good flavor from the normal.

Size and weapon size

Just tried to duplicate a published gnoll (this is only relevant to explain why I'm trying to make a half-fiend gnoll that is large sized)

Anyway, I added on the adjustment page a +1 to size category to make him large.

This had the unintended effect of making his Medium unarmed strike attack "You can't use this weapon because it is the wrong size for you"

Then when I tried to add in a large masterwork greataxe, I also couldn't use it as it was the wrong size (despite being large and the +1 size adjustment). Then I noticed that the damage dice were wrong...

To get it to be correct, when I have the +1 size adjustment, I need to select medium sized weapons. They have the correct damage adjustment and can still be used (despite the fact that they say that they are medium).

In short, adding a size category shouldn't (I wouldn't think) make your Unarmed Strike unuseable and adding a weapon of a particular size adds a weapon of stats of your size modified up or down by as many steps as it is away from Medium.

If that makes sense.

The unarmed strike/size thing is something I've noticed but just not gotten to.

The fact that your manufactured weapons size with you matches the way the enlarge person spell works.

If you want a race that's naturally size L, just set that in the editor. You mentioned that you made a new gnoll race, so alter the size while you're at it.

Magical Knack (trait) requires a selection from known spells, rather than the hero's caster classes.

Please re-read the trait - magical lineage and magical talent require specific spells, but magical knack affects classes.

Yes sorry, I worded that badly. Magical Knack currently asks for a spell to be chosen in HL, when it should ask for a caster class.

I can't find where it asks that - could you be more specific about exactly what you're seeing?

With the update, I'm now seeing the majority of the languages unavailable, with the following text above them:

"Your background doesn't allow you to learn this language as a starting language."

Unless I'm wrong, the only language that should have that, is Druidic (though Drow Sign Language might qualify). Even the languages of the Core races are unavailable.

Well, I was being lazy and didn't actually create a new race... I made a half-fiend gnoll and then used the adjustments tab and made a permanent +1 size adjustment.

I didn't want to create a race just for this one guy. :)

And since this guy escaped the players' clutches tonight and will now be a recurring villain, I suppose I will make a gnoll copy, make it large, and then add the half-fiend template (thanks for adding those, by the way!)

It's in the Kagical Knack dropdown list under Traits, in the Feats tab.
Just in case we're looking at different things; I have Pathfinder RPG with Traits & Flaws, and Second Darkness AP options on.

Here's a little picture to show you what's happening.

I don't know if this is a bug or feature request, but when a Ranger chooses the favoured terrain "Plain (Specify)" there is no way to specify. Getting an input field so this can be on the character sheet would be great.

Hi, just got this yesterday, and am digging it so far. :)

Just one thing I stumbled upon when creating an NPC with the half-dragon template today.
The breath weapon is grayed out and says "requirements not met" in the special tab, but what are those requirements? It doesn't show up as an error, but is N/A when looking at the character sheet too.

Happened both for an 11th level hobgoblin and a 1st level human with the template applied.

Thanks,
Leonal

The language selection logic wasn't changed in this update. What race are you testing this on?

Most races offer only around 6 language options.

Can anyone else duplicate this? I just tested this on my non-development copy of HeroLab (which sees the same downloads you do), and Magical Knack shows a list of spellcasting classes there, too.

I've looked through the change history for the traits file, and magical knack has always offered classes, never spells.
