That is because the serpentine base form come with reach on its bite attack prebuilt in.There is not a option to give the reach to the other attacks with the reach from the base form.

Serpentine

Starting Statistics: Size Medium; Speed 20 ft., climb 20 ft.; AC +2 natural armor; Saves Fort (bad), Ref (good), Will (good); Attack bite (1d6), tail slap (1d6); Ability Scores Str 12, Dex 16, Con 13, Int 7, Wis 10, Cha 11; Free Evolutions bite, climb, reach (bite), tail, tail slap.

Thanks for the response. I guess I don't see the connection between these two evolutions (reach and grab). Nothing in the grab evolution mentions anything about reach:

Grab (Ex): An eidolon becomes adept at grappling foes, gaining the grab ability. Pick bite, claw, pincers, slam, tail slap, or tentacle attacks. Whenever the eidolon makes a successful attack of the selected type, it can attempt a free combat maneuver check. If successful, the eidolon grapples the target. This ability only works on creatures of a size one category smaller than the eidolon or smaller. Eidolons with this evolution receive a +4 bonus on CMB checks made to grapple.

Nothing here suggests to me that I can't choose tail slap as the attack to apply grab to, nor that the reach that comes with bite in the serpentine form affects this choice in any way.

HeroLab is counting the weight the same for a Saddle (Riding) whether
its Medium or Large.

Thanks for the response. I guess I don't see the connection between the reach evolution and the grab evolution. Here's the grab description:

Nothing I read here (or in the Reach evolution description) suggests to me that I can't apply the Grab evolution to the tail slap attack instead of the bite attack. Am I missing something?

Wow, i totally misread your post. I am getting the same issue. You should be able to pick the tail slap attack for the grab.

Erastil druid/cleric not adding the weapon proficiency of bows.

Page 15 of the Gods and Magic

"Erastil’s clerics and druids are proficient with the shortbow and the longbow (and the composite versions of each)."

I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere, but I've been searching and not getting really the answer I wanted.

Does weapon finesse grant dex bonus on hit for melee touch attacks? I've read lots of places that it does, but am not getting it in the demo version of HL (still evaluating a switch from another product). Is that just in another product, does it work as RAW/RAI, or is it a bug?

I have a cleric in my party that is a touch attack specialist and is asking me.

The price for magical ammunition is way off. It appears to be applying to amount to each unit instead of the group of 50.

Also, is it possible to allow lower numbers of ammunition? For example, the characters in my campaign received 2 undead bane and 5 ghost touch arrows.

When I make a halfling monk weapon adept, I get the following error (it shows it twice):

Attempt to access non-live child pick 'fStunFist' from script
Location: 'eval' script for Thing 'fcMnkHalfl' (Eval Script '#1') near line 6

Attempt to access non-live pick via script fails for 'fStunFist'
Location: 'eval' script for Thing 'fcMnkHalfl' (Eval Script '#1') near line 6

Having an issue with the new HLExport tool. (Tools->Launch HLExport). A week ago I used it and entered info into the new Third Party fields (ID, Name, and Version#). I highlighted them on the attached screen shot.

When I went to use it again tonight I found that they are now grayed out and can't be changed. Maybe I could understand the ID and Name but the version number?

I found the file that info is saved in and was able to change it that way but I have to think this is a bug as I will have to support several 3PP data sets and will need to change these values often.

Thanks

Check which files you have selected to output - I believe HLExport will disable those controls if a definition (.def) or config (.cfg) file is selected, since third-party updates should never include those files.

Hope this helps!

Web Special Attack missing from giant spider

I apologize in case this is already known or I missed a reason why somewhere. The giant spider from the bestiary is missing it's web attack.

Mounted Fury

This is still messing up the Cavalier class. I have a 8th lvl Gnome with 6 lvl of Cavalier 1 lvl Fighter (roughrider) & 1 lvl Barbarian. The wolf mount for the cavalier is 6 hd. When I add Mounted Fury Barbarian it takes away 3 hd from the wolf.

The Mounted Fury Barbarian archetype's -4 effective companion levels are not applied until the mounted fury barbarian reaches level 5 and is granted a mount (previously, this could interfere with animal companions granted by other classes.
