Pathfinder Bug Reports - Version 6.18

Table 1-3 (Core Ruleboook pg 17): an ability score of 18 = +1 1st level spell/day, not +4.

APG pg 29, table 2-1: A 2nd level alchemist casts 2 1st-level extracts/day.

This update has helped fix a few bugs. Thanks! However, one bug has persisted for me.

If I select "Custom / Magic armor" and I should be able to select "Mithral" under Material Used, as it is in the core. However, Mithral does not even show up for me. Same thing with cold iron when trying to create "Custom / Magic weapon." Any ideas?

starrsmile, you're going to need to provide more information about what's going on, what user files you've created (or gotten from others), and anything else you can think of that might be related to this. I can't reproduce your error.

I have a friend's user file for Savage Tide, but he does not have the same problems I do. I also have the Lorien Setting userfile. However, I went to create a new character without either of those user files selected and those materials were still not even an option. I see eight options for material for a chain shirt - normal, bone (not selectable), bronze, darkwood (not selectable), dragonhide (not selectable), gold, gold plated, paueliel (not selectable). What's odd is that this character works fine on my friend's hero lab without validation errors, but I open it in my hero lab and I encounter the problems.

Well, it looks like someone broke the Strength modifier to damage for composite longbows which have one.

This is affecting both a 1st level PC with a composite longbow Str+2 with a 14 Str; and a 12th level PC with a composite longbow Str +3 with a 16 Str.

The attack values are correct, it is only not including the Strength bonus to damage.

The same is true of the composite shortbow.

"The Favorite Wordspells/Metamagic Spells table for spontaneous casters was being pushed off the bottom of the class tab."

This is still a problem for me. Anyone else have this issue?

Books: APG
Thing: Prehensile Hair Hex (thingid.cWitPreHai)

Error:
The prehensile hair weapon (thingid.wSlam) is not adding in the BAB of the character.

Steps:
1) Make a new level 6 Witch
2) Give a 20 Int score so we have a bonus of +5
3) Take the "Prehensile Hair" hex. The weapon is added to the weapon tab but it has a attack bonus of +3 instead of +6.

Fix:
Here is the line that is wrong I think and its at the VERY end of the script:
Code:
focus.field[wAttBonus].value += field[abValue].value
if changed to this it works:
Code:
focus.field[wAttBonus].value += hero.child[Attack].field[tAtkBase].value + field[abValue].value
This way we add in the BAB and Int score to get a correct final value.

Books: Pirates of the Inner Sea

Thing: Cat-o'-Nine-Tails, weapon (thingid.wCatNineTa)
Error: The weapon is marked as a 1-Hand weapon but the book says "Light Melee Weapon".

Thing: Boarding Gaff, weapon (thingid.wBoardGaff)
Error: The weapon is not marked as a melee weapon and its not source marked to the "Pirates of the Inner Sea".

Thing: Boarding Pike, weapon (thingid.wBoardPike)
Error: The weapon is not marked as a melee weapon.

Thing: Harpoon, Steel (thingid.wHarpoonSt)
Error: The weapon is not marked as with Piercing damage type and its marked as a x2 crit instead of x3.

Thing: Grappling Hook (thingid.wGrappHook)
Error: The weapon is not marked with Piercing damage type. Its also not marked as a 1,2, or light weapon. Though its hard to figure out exactly what it should be by the table in the book. I assume its meant to be 2-handed.

From the Core Rulebook, Sorcerer's Celestial Bloodline, the Heavenly Fire power is marked as "(sp)", but HeroLab has it as "(su)".

I thought I fixed that last update. What class are you playing? Any archetypes (other than wordcasting)?

This happens with a Wild-blooded (Pit-Touched) Sorcerer. If it matters (since being "pushed off the tab" was mentioned), I'm running 1680x1050 resolution. The Lore Oracle tab on that same character has the Favorite Metamagic button showing.

I am seeing this as well with the sorcerer class no archetype. It seems that when you add enough spells to reach the bottom of the window it will push this off the screen and does not allow you to scroll down to it. The higher your resolution the more spells you will need to add to push this off the screen.

The fix did not seem to do anything. Metamagic and wordcasting for spontaneous casters still gets push off the display, archetype doesn't seem to matter (Sorcerer, Bard, and Oracle were checked, various archetypes).

Hero Lab 3.9f (April 6 update)
Pathfinder 6.14 (March 23 update)

I even uninstalled, downloaded a new client, installed, reapplied license and got all the updates, no change.

This is also occuring when creating a Sorcerer. When adding enough spells to push this section below the window there will not be any scroll bar to scroll down to it.

I am also noticing that when having these favorite metamagic spells set up they show up in the spells tab but when using them it does not update the spells used per day for them.

The Sensei Archetype is supposed to allow use of WIS bonus in place of STR or DEX bonus for Combat Maneuver checks and Attack rolls with Unarmed or Monk Weapons. I've made a Sensei 4/Cleric 4 with a 22 WIS (+6).

HL returns his CMB as +7; it looks to me like it should be CMB +13 (Monk 4, Cleric 3, WIS 6). This is the case whether I have his Unarmed or Dagger weapon "armed" or not.

The attack bonus is reflected for his Unarmed Strike (+6/+1 becomes +12/+7) and with Monk Weapons, so it's just the CMB that is being incorrectly calculated.

The at will spell-like ability of Light granted to Elves by the alternate racial trait Lightbringer has the details for the spell Dream instead of Light in the descriptive popup.

I found a bug with Uncanny Defense in regards to the Magus archtype: Kensai.

Under "Special" It reads Canny Defense +4 (EX) (Magus) But under the description it has the following:
+INT Bonus to AC (max Duelist level)

This needs to be changed to Magus levels for Magus since it doesn't give any sort of bonus this way.

This code doesn't appear to add to the CL correctly

Code:
~ +1 Caster Level to ???? spells
      hero.child[ss????].field[schCastLev].value += 1

This code doesn't appear to add to the CL correctly

What's the phase & priority you're trying this at?

Please be more specific about "doesn't appear to" - exactly what is it not doing.

Animal Companion Alternate Advancement

I have a cavalier at 7th level with a wolf. Instead of the normal advancement for the wolf, I took the advancement option of +2 Dex and +2 Con instead of the normal advancement. How do I select that option in HeroLab?
