(Drop Dead Studios) Spheres of Power: Official Support Thread

The Diviner's Handbook is up next, however I haven't been working on it a whole lot lately. I'm tinkering with some things under the hood that I'm hoping will make future handbooks easier/faster to develop and provide some other benefits to SoP in general.

Another off thing that I noticed as I tried to build an armorist. At first level it is asking me to add tertiary abilities but I don't see that listed in either the book or in Hero Lab. What are Tertiary abilities for the armorist?

I'll have to take a look later, but that's probably an artifact from when I created the "Bound/Summoned Equipment" tab for 1.12. It shouldn't be there.

It looks like this change in the latest update...
The "source" component, which was leftover from d20 and did not have any function in Pathfinder, has been removed.
...broke some of the SoP stuff.

Component Set 'SoPSphStf1' - Reference to non-existent component 'source'
Component Set 'SoPSphWand' - Reference to non-existent component 'source'

And here we see the danger of copy-paste when creating new components.

The day job has me super busy right now so I might not be able to get to this tonight. But I'll have it fixed this weekend at the latest.

Will the sphere summoner (archetype) be fixed eventually?
From post 220, on page 22 of this thread.

I suppose I can keep using the talents known adjustment, to let the character take whatever talent he gets as a bonus summoner talent, on the magical talents (main talent) tab.
But it would be nice to not have to do that.

OK, I have put out v1.15 as a fix for the 'source' issue.

I plan to collect up and address a bunch of reported bugs this weekend (and yes, that includes the Sphere Summoner).

For some reason, the Updates mechanism does not warn me (with the big blue exclamation point on the splash screen) when there is a new version. It is also not highlighted in any way on the Find Updates window.

Not sure what Lord Magus's issue would be, but I do get the exclamation for the assorted Spheres of Power guides.
I have all of those released so far.

2 other issues I've run into.
1) After this latest update, Hallow does not read alignment correctly so the drop down box says nothing to choose.
2) The expanded options book says a Sphere Bloodrager counts all his class levels as his caster level. So at level 4 he should have be caster level 2 and Hero Lab shows him as caster level 1.

SoPSphSd1 - refrence to non-existant component
SoPSphWand - refrence to non-existant component

So I'm getting these errors still.. after running the .HL from a fresh download.

Possible bug, from Destroyer's Handbook.

The 'Blinding Blast' talent, in the book reads:
-- spend a spell point.. untyped damage.. Fort save or blinded for a round... more damage vs undead...

And in Hero Lab, the title of the Blast is "Blinding Blast (Bull Rush +9)... and then the description is the same as the book, without any mention of a bull rush.

You need to update to version 1.15. Check the readme file for instructions on setting that up.

Okay, I was able to fix SOME of the bugs I've collected so far, but not enough that I'd be satisfied putting out a new release yet. So 1.16 will be next week.

Found another bug: If you choose the Triple Goddess archetype for the Hedgewitch, the Life sphere still only counts as Mid-Caster, although it should count as a High-Caster. Maybe that is a problem with Death and Fate as well.

Thanks. Anything else you've found wrong in Expanded Options? I'm aiming to get an update to that out as well this weekend.

Ugh, okay I've fixed the bugs reported so far (and a couple that turned up during that process), but I'm not in a position right now to assemble an update. Stay tuned.
