New Updates. :)

Latest Updates 12/13/2011

New PFRPG SGG DeathMage v1.2.zip v1.0. by Armidale. This is a .hl file which means it is a Hero Lab Import File.

v1.2 updates:
  • Unbreathing Companion now works, including Unbreathing template support.
  • Integrated scripts from Screetch79 (now added to authors list).
  • A separate source ("Armidale’s Custom Death Mage Content") and separate .user file adds support for a few Ultimate Magic spells per the rules in the "Adding New Spells to the Death Mage’s List" section of the Genius Guide to the Death Mage, as well as two custom feats I wrote that were approved by one of the SGG guys whose game I play in.

Download at d20pfsrd in the Super Genius Games folder.

Note: To remove start HL and go to "Tools->Manage Third-Party Updates..."

Updated PFRPG_Sources 2011.12.28.zip v1.0. by ShadowChemosh. Added file "PFRPG_Bestiary_Tags.user" which will hold Global tags for the Bestiary and community created Things. Currently it holds a new Product Identity that will help ID Things as created by the HL Community.

Updated Rise of the Runelords v1.1 (2011.12.28).hl. By: Paris.Crenshaw, ShadowChemosh, and Others.
1) Fixed the need on the "Lamia-kin, Kuchrima" race to need the B2 data set. This was the ONLY thing in the whole data set that needed something outside of CORE.
2) Changed Product Identity over to "Hero Lab Community" and removed Source marking of the "Racial Specials" to RotRL. These should be made available to others for use.
3) Created new file "PFRPG_Bestiary_Tags.user" to hold Global Tags for all the different AP and Bestiary data sets. To begin with this holds the new Product Identify Tag "HLCommunit" (Hero Lab Community) so that we can begin marking Things created by the community in an easy to recognize method.

New PFRPG_Fix_ArchetypeArmor.user by ShadowChemosh v1.0. Once added to HL will add 8 new things and a new source called "Armor Proficiency - Fix".

Once the source "Armor Proficiency - Fix" is activated you will find under Feats four new feats for "Armor Proficiency, Shadow" for Light, Medium, Heavy, and Shields. If you are taking the feat add one of these to your character to get the correct proficiency to work.

If you took a class, in example Fighter, where you where suppose to get the Proficiency you will need to go to the "Adjust" tab -> "Other Adjustments" and add "Armor Proficiency, Shadow" for Light, Medium, Heavy, and Shields. Selecting one of these will give the correct proficiency feat without eating up one of your Feat slots.

Download PFRPG_Fix_ArchetypeArmor.user at d20pfsrd in the zMisc folder.

Your Flurry of Blows adjustment that allows me to select a weapon that I'm flurrying with doesn't seem to work with the Kama if I add any special abilities to it. It works fine if the kama is magical just not if I give it any special abilities. I don't know if it's that way with all the weapons or just the kama. I also didn't check every ability. I know it doesn't work with Keen, Speed, or Wounding for sure.
 
Community Bestiary add-on

The Community has been hard at work creating adventure path and 3PP monsters. I have combined all these different books into one large data set to make things easier on those using the data sets and those creating the data sets. This will also make future updates easier.

So after installing this data set you will have a large number of books that can be check marked in the Configure Your Hero window listed under the "Hero Lab Community" section. Please note that not EVERY book is fully inputted at this time.

I have integrated this data set in a way that will make the process work almost exactly the same as how you currently get official updates from Hero Lab. This feature is called Updates and is VERY easy to setup. After setup you can simply download and import future enhancements to the data set automatically and you will be notified on HL start up when an update is available.

Instructions on using the HL Updates feature

1) Please see THIS pdf document located on Chiefweasel's site. It will go over the couple steps needed to setup the Updates feature.
2) The URL listed in the document above is for the d20 project so please use the following instead:

3) The download/update you are looking for after HL restarts is called the "Community Bestiary (vX.X)".


Additional HL Packages Required

To be able to use this data set several different official HL data sets are required. Maybe this will change in the future but for now this data set WILL NOT LOAD without these official packages. The latest packages list will always be displayed at the time of import but as of 1/2/2012 the list is: CORE, Bestiary, Bestiary 2, APG, Gods & Magic (Campaign Setting #1).


Current List of what is in the Data Set as of 1/2/2012


Adventure Paths:
  • Carrion Crown - Contains all the Bestiary monsters and chapter 1 NPCs from the Carrion Crown AP.
  • Council of Thieves - NPCs and Bestiary for Chapter 1,2,3,4 of Council of Thieves.
  • Curse of the Crimson Throne - Contains all the Bestiary monsters and NPCs from the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP chapter 1 to 6.
  • Rise of the Runelords - NPCs and Bestiary for Chapter 1,2,3 and Bestiary for 4,5,6. Plus the player guide feats turned into traits.
  • Second Darkness - NPCs and Bestiary for chapters 1 to 6. This version has the first two chapters NPCs one level higher then the books.
3PP Monsters:
  • The Iconic Bestiary: Classics of Fantasy - Evil Eye

Hopefully the community finds this useful. :)

After importing them, where does the AP stuff appear?

I can find CotCT (Animals, AP and Bestiary) and Rise of the Runelords (Bestiary and Chap 3 NPCs)

I thought there was more?

Wait found the above in import stock here

and found these in import hero from portfolio

Council of Thieves and Carrion Crown in Portfolio's pathfinder

Still missing Second Darkness and book 1&2 NPCs for RotRL and the 3PP stuff.

Have I just looked in the wrong places?
 
For the .por files created you can find them in your portfolio\pathfinder\Name of the Aventure Path folder by default this will be in your My documents\HeroLab. Some of the contrubuters made up .stock files but most did individual .por files instead.

Also not every monster is going to have a .por file related to it. Why a good amount does some like the evil eye is just going to be found on the Race tab inside HL after checking the The Iconic Bestiary book.

Just did some digging and testing and I am telling the Export Tool to include all the different directories but it won't go past the "Council of Thieves" folder. Just generated a brand new one for v1.1 and same issue during the Import it only does two folders not all 5.

Going to have to report the issue too LW. :(

At least you can see all the characters / monsters at once.

There was a specific change to the tool to allow this for the community actually. I just never tried before with so many folders. :(

Why I am not against this its a VERY time consuming process for me to do and those that contributed to the project only a couple did make .stock files. I just don't have the time to make the .stock for all the different stuff that got contributed. If some one else wants to do that an send it my way I would be happy to include it. :)

No problem. Hopefully the community likes this better and its a little easier for me to deal with all the different AP's as ONE large thing instead of all the different separate files. :)

Plus there are more 3PP monsters in the works so this makes a perfect place to add them and build upon the existing work of the community. By adding this data set people are also getting hundreds of pre-built Racial Specials that can just be bootstrapped to your own custom races. I have tried my best to make sure that all the Racial Specials where NOT source marked to the different Books. Allowing them to be cross used more easily.
 
I'm willing to have a go at it, just need the files, sending you my email address as a PM.

I was tinkering with it myself but would love to see it in as part of the core files :)

Errors with Council of Thieves Chapter 1 - Children of Westcrown & Sewer Goblin

They seem to be missing references.

Children of Westcrown was input by Nikmal, not sure if I did the sewer goblin though. What references are missing? As I have all the official datasets and they are usually set on for maximum data usage!
