Hmm. It SHOULD work to import the Pirate's Guide into a D&D5e realm. If you get another error, please submit the crash report and then open a support ticket. We'll need to investigate what's going wrong for you.

@Rabit: We have confirmed the bug on our end. Figuring it out is going to take some spelunking down into some very complicated code. With the big CM launch tomorrow, please be patient. It's going to take a few days before I can block out a big chunk of time to get to the bottom of what's going sideways with that realm.

No stress! :D I'm excited to get it, but happy to wait given everything else going on. :)

Good luck!

Thanks Rob. I'm having the same problem. I wanted to put Freeport into a system neutral, then add the Castles & Crusades Freeport Companion manually to it. As well as the C&C Players books I've already entered manually. But I got the same error as Rabit. I did submit an error report too through RW when the import failed.

Yeah, but the post was at 3:00 in the morning. So... does "tomorrow" mean "today" (Wednesday) or "tomorrow" (Thursday)?

I find myself checking the forum frequently in anticipation...

It was supposed to be today. Wednesday. I typically work till the wee hours of the night, so "tomorrow" is "after I get some sleep".

But we had yet another "are you serious?" experience this morning. I shared it in the weekly updates thread above. So stay tuned...

At this point... LOL... What are the odds of that happening! So close now.

Able to offer any insight to what comes next Rob? Apart from squashing bugs of course.

I was wondering the same thing because....

Ok Rob, I have to ask you what I ask myself when something always goes bad, what did you do in your past life? Either that or you need a new d20. LOL

New launch is officially planned for tomorrow morning. Please see my post in the updates thread for a bit more detail.

Any hints what will be in it ?

my credit card is trembling with anticipation.

I believe there are about 50 modules, adventure paths, settings, and reference books (e.g. Bestiaries) included in this initial launch. Plus there are system-neutral resource books like Masks and Eureka in the mix. There should be useful material for just about everyone. :)

Will the issue with converting realm game systems be present in all the content in the initial release?

It should not. We did a whole bunch of testing on that, which led to the fixes that were in the Monday release. However, it seems that the Freeport books are special children. We didn't test those books and should have done so, as they were some of the very first books we ever put into RW. Consequently, they were not created with the standard conversion toolset/process that we now use for everything. So they work a bit differently and actually have their roots in the now-defunct Legacy game system from the very beginning. That's where the problem appears to be stemming from.

Thanks, Rob

My condolences to your mortgage. :)

Seriously, assuming you already have the PDF from Paizo, you'll probably be very pleasantly surprised at the price point.
