I'd like to add a request to the pile.

When looking at a character's inventory, could we get an option to move everything that is in a container into a nested group under that container? I'd also like to see the ability to collapse those items to reduce the number of items being seen at once.

To use an example, let's say I have a character who has a backpack, three torches, a day's trail rations, a waterskin, a belt pouch, and flint-and-steel. The flint is in the pouch, everything else is in the backpack.

Currently, his list would look something like this:
  • Backpack (Contents: Dry Rations, Torch, Waterskin)
  • Belt Pouch (Contents: Flint and Steel)
  • Dry Rations (» Backpack)
  • Flint and Steel (» Belt Pouch)
  • Torch ×3 (» Backpack)
  • Waterskin (» Backpack)
That's a little hard to read, though. What I'd like to see is something like:
  • Backpack
    • Dry Rations
    • Torch ×3
    • Waterskin
  • Belt Pouch
    • Flint and Steel
Can this be done? Maybe?

I would like this as well.

Me too! Big +1!

I think the one thing I'd like to see more than anything at the moment would be a "Sources" tag for "*Hidden" and "*Preclude" items. Something where under hero configuration, I could set a source for those item and click or unclick it to have them actively hidden or not depending on the circumstances.
*Preclude does exactly what your asking for. Or I am totally misunderstanding. As when you add a *Preclude you also give it a Source ID. When that Source ID is activated then that Thing is hidden. When the source id is not activated the Thing is NOT hidden.

Looking at this again, I believe you are right, I overlooked it due to it not having the "Edit" button where I could potentially assign a new ID from the *Preclude tab. So long as I create the tag elsewhere, then I should be able to tag it on the *Preclude tab.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I'm certain I would have continued overlooking it otherwise.

I never even thought of this . . . +1

A similar question, what is the point of *Hidden? I tried it a couple of times, but *Preclude worked better.
Currently I use when I am "deprecating" something as if a person already has say the Adjustment added to their character it shows a nice warning that this Thing is not valid instead of a pop message. Then the person can take it off their character manually and re-add the correct "new" adjustment.

That is what I use it for right now.

Featurerequest for Tactical Console

Hi everyone,

i am working with the tactical console for quite a while now, and at first i have to say: i totally love it!
It makes the work for me as a DM a lot easier, keeping track of everything,
running all the encounters, seeing all of the important stats with simple mouseovers... amazing, thanks a lot! :)

There are just 2 things that i am missing, that would make this tool absolutely perfect.
And these Things shouldn't even be hard to implement...

1st thing:
The Condition "Bleeding" is missing. I'd really love to see it implemented, to also
be able to keep track of all the bleeding the rogue in my party is causing ;)

2nd thing:
You can add "durations" to all of the effects. It would be nice if you would
have to enter durations as "rounds", and if at least every time you click on
"Next Round", all these durations would get lowered by 1. When the value
reaches 0, the condition simply gets deactivated.

What do others think? Would you also like to see this? Is there any chance
we could see both these features in a future release?

Greetings,
BigDaddyXD

Bow and Magical Arrows, icant assign one to the other

in Herolabs, why cant I make a magical Bow, and then a magical Arrow set and then allocate the Arrow to the Bow, as in the application, the Arrows are counted as weapons which need to go in either hand, and the Bow is a 2-handed weapon! but I can make Arrows of flaming burst which then th 2D6 should be added to what ever damage the Bow does and i cant see that on the character sheet nor the HL interface as i cant state to the application use these arrows with this Bow, is there a way to do this, and if not could you make it possible

Character Portpolio Print Selection

I would just like to ask for an enhancement that should be an easy patch.

When I'm printing a party of characters, each time I do this, a job may take me several print jobs. I would like to make a suggestion to allow the Portfolio to select Checkboxes rather then Radiobuttons. In this way, it only takes one print job instead of three or four to print out a full character, with all relevant stats.

Thank you,
Shain

I'd like the ability to sort hexes in the kingdom builder. At the moment it sorts by terrain type. This isn't very intuitive for me.

I'd like to either be able to drag them into the order I want, for them to stay in the order I put them or for them to be sortable by the name of the hex (as I prefix the hex co-ordinates anyway).

edit - Ok, so it appears it DOES sort alphabetically, sometimes, when it feels like it, after you add new hexes.

Editor Suggestion: Since traits do require the bootstrapping of spell-like abilities at times, it would be nice if we had an <it_bootcustom> in the traits section of the editor to bootstrap these instead of having to do it manually.

I would like the capability to when I use the save to pdf plug when using Pathfinder at the very least (and have this apply to applicable game systems) to have the option of saving multiple documents into one file including my character sheet, ability and gear description sheet and spell description sheet

If you use a free tool like "PrimoPDF" than this can be accomplished very easily. You can print from ANY program in windows and have it produce a PDF. Here is a secret that if you tell PrimoPDF to print to a pdf file that already exists it asks if you wish to Overwrite or Append. So after the first character sheet is made just Append ability sheet and Apend Gear Description.

So you can just Append each of those different pages into a single document.

Adding descriptions to custom gear

When I add custom gear I can change its name but I can't add any descriptive text.

Clicking on the '?' button shows a text box with 'This item can be customised to represent whatever you want' - I would like to be able to edit that text in order to note for example when the character found the item, how the item is used, any plot links, or just a little more descriptive text so I can remember why I'm carrying this item.

Is this possible without resorting to the editor or have I missed something?

Many thanks for your help!

To go with this, it would be useful for magic items in general to be able to (a) override the item name (with the original displayed in grey/subscript text when editing but not when printing/exporting), and (b) override the item slot. This would make "counts as" items easy for us who use variant item slots (for example, having a vest of resistance as an alternate version of cloak of resistance that takes the torso instead of shoulders slot).

My adjustment addon can do the first part of adding to the name of magic item or completely overriding the name. Changing the "item slot" would make for a good new adjustment to add.
