You guys get this could be backlash from the DDoS attacks UKdrillas is doing. They took down Wikipedia the other day and now Blizzard and Xbox servers are being affected today. Its very possible the LW data center is part of the above attacks. I don't think its directly at LW as they are too small but it could be a side effect if the data center or node in that area was being attacked.

Absolutely, I think everyone understands that stuff happens. But what (hopefully) happens is that there is someone from LW addressing said stuff happening even if it's just "Something happened, we are aware and are working to address it". Speaking for myself, my annoyance wasn't that something happened, it was that there wasn't any response.

and events like this are why im refusing to buy in to HLO.....
I want my characters avaliable when i need them, and if the tool is going to have random outages thats going to make it hard to use for me, and if thouse outages have zero commuication thats totally unacceptable. anyone who has been following Realmworks will see that lonewolf has a TERRIBLE trackrecord of any kind of communicating with users. |

Online requirements for tabletop gaming... the one thing you ought to be able to do by candle when the power is out. We need offline mode.

Always create a character sheet hard copy.

By which I guess that PF2 and SF don't require the same computerised toggling of conditions as PF1 to update all relevant stats mid-game?

Who cares how many toggles of conditions it requires? We shouldn't need to always keep a hard copy. As paying customers, our expectation that the online-only service that we pay for being online (or failing that, a recognition that it is offline even with empty promises to demonstrate that they know that their customers can't access) is very reasonable.

I know it isn't :-)
But if a print-out is required to play the game, then I'd rather create the character on paper in the first place and use the same sheet for a long time - less strain on the environment by only printing out a character sheet a few times instead of for every session.
