Hello,
Recently I've been running into a problem. If I open hero labs from the start menu everything works fine, however if I double click on a hero labs file and open hero labs that way (by file association) it resets my license as if I've never activated, and goes into the 'reactivate license' mode. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug that is causing this? Thanks! |

Do you happen to have two installations of HeroLab?
Maybe the double-click action is opening a different copy from the one associated with your manual launch HeroLab icon? |

Nope just the one installation in the program files directory.

I never seen HL do this before. I would advise putting in a support ticket by emailing support@wolflair.com for help.

Ok so I'm an idiot
Turns out the old HD that I pulled out and added to my system had Hero Labs on it from a while ago. Somehow I got the file links mixed up. Some time digging in regedit pulled up the bad links. All working good now. Thanks for giving me the pointer! |

It's usually something simple when it works one way but not the other. |
