Wild Shape adjustments

Haven't had a chance to peruse this yet, but if this works with vampire PCs I'll be quite happy. At least until sunrise.

Did a few of them but will keep at it, just going down the list of animals from the srd. So Natural Armor isn't based on the animal just a flat bonus then, That mean they keep there current armor bonus from armor they had on?

Never gotten into wild shape in pathfinder

Correct its based on the Spell Itself and Animal Size just like the ability score modifiers. Take a look at the spell HERE.

That mean they keep there current armor bonus from armor they had on?
Armor/Shields is absorbed into the form and don't function unless they have the "Wild" armor special ability. From my testing this is all working currently including taking into account the "Wild" armor ability.

But if you have Bracers of Armor my understanding is this still works and wold apply a armor AC bonus.

have you implemented any of the wild shape feats to work with this?
The only one that has "HL" affects I noticed was "Planar Wild Shape". In such a case you would have to apply the actual Template yourself or use other adjustments.

Maybe in the future I could look at it but more concerned with the getting the base abilities to work. I still have to do Elemental Shape and Plant Shape still. :)

Beast soul
Greater Beast soul
Mighty form
Powerful shape
Stout form

and vermin shape (but assume this is just basically entering in vermin to the animal shape)

do you get to use special attacks such as

Sudden Charge (Ex)

When making a charge attack, an axe beak makes a single bite attack. If successful, it may also attempt to trip its opponent as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. If the attempt fails, the axe beak cannot be tripped in return.

Powerful shape
Stout form
Only one of these is a Paizo feat. :)

This is another of the adjustments I would like to get too. It should be pretty easy once the base shape is all working. Then correct it would be entering "Vermin" that the "Vermin Shape" spell could select from.

LOL all of this goes back to a) I mentioned its just out of beta and 2) Time! :D

The main issue with these "feats" is that really the "Feat" should look to see if the spell adjustment is on and then its script can fire. I just don't want to actually do a "Replace Thing ID" on existing feats as that forces people to have to "have" these feats. The 3PP feats are even worse as I have no idea what the 'Unique ID' will be or if it would stay the same. So if the feat is not in a community package it would be even harder to work with... :( Not including the fun of saying my adjustment addon requires 3 other community packages... LOL oh the fun!!!!!!!!!

Sudden Charge is not a "Special Ability" listed by Beast Shape so no. This to me is the improvement over 3.5 as you ONLY get listed abilities. This means that every new monster Paizo puts out does not make Beast Shape or Druids "better".

ok, well my animal list might need a bit of editing as I errored on the side of extra info since it's quick and easy to delete but I have a decent number of animals entered and will keep at it, I did it in a different data file so that I could send it to you and only be sending the animal lists.

Will let you know when I finish the list will likely take a few days maybe a week or so but will get them all entered. Makes me feel like I contributed a little at least.

Sweet! I totally appreciate the help! I will give Bodrin a quick PM to let him know. Thanks for the help on this...

for great cats I used the best of the list instead of listing each and every one, for beast shape purposes Jaguar was the best medium as it did slightly more damage and had more movement types, cheetah also was ok but was weaker in every aspect save +10 base speed.

Seamed a bit redundant to list animals with multiple of the same type and nearly identical to identical stats.

Animals will prob be done by weeks end but I have no clue how large the magical beast list is.

I ran into the same thing when building the frame work. My original idea was simply put in a "Cat, Small"; "Cat, Medium" etc. But ran into an issue when I talked to people as they didn't like that. They wanted to pick the animal based on the "Name" not really its stats. So if a person wanted to turn into a "Red Fur Cat" they will want to select that exact name. From what I got it helped with the imagination to know "exactly" the animal they where turning into.

I am not saying you "have" to do this but I figure over time people will add to this list and it will grow. I am also hopeful that its easy enough for people to add custom animals from say Forgotten Realms or Eberron in example.

I would just hit popular named one for now. Doing every single creature is a little over kill IMHO. But having some to select from would be nice. Cause as your seeing their is really not a "huge" variance between some of the creatures.

P.S - The way I have this designed by the way is that if you put in a animal make sure you use the highest stats. In example lets say its a small cat with Climb Speed of 40ft. This would be marked to all Four Beast Shape 1-4. Then if used with BS1 the speed will be set to a max value of 30. If used with BS2 the max can go to 60ft but the creature only has 40ft so it will have a climb speed of 40ft.

Hope that make sense. :)

Yea I am basically just going down the srd list and imputing exactly whats there. trying to add in descriptions and such as well to help with imagination, stuff like physical description and size/weight descriptions basically whatever the srd gives me to work with.

Yea if they want the specific type of Cat ect they can input it, past that if they are a cheetah then know that they are a cheetah, didn't see a reason to add the different stats as hero lab is more about tracking stats then description.

though arguably the other types are slightly different but hell you don't get most of the base animals stuff so I am not going to dwell on small differences.

By the way thanks a ton for the adjustment is nice to have it. Someday I will learn the coding of hero lab enough to do some of the stuff you do.

how hard would it be to add a additional editor tab in so that you can easily add shape change effects other then beast shape, something like when active Adds X stats ect to make it really easy to add new lyanthrope types and other similar such creatures?

This keeps poping up when I select Leopard from the drop down.
