Urban Barbarian - negative to hit

When the Archtype urban Barbarian is applied he characer suffers a -4 to hit.

Any ideas?

The urban barbarian archetype isn't proficient with medium armor, so your chainmail's ACP is subtracted from your attack rolls because you're wearing armor you're not proficient in.
