As I sit here with a stack of PFS boons to try and somehow wedge into Hero Lab, I think to myself:

- Wouldn't it be awesome if there were a "boon" data-set?

I have to believe that Paizo/PFS would assist with this. *SEEMS* like it shouldn't be that hard....

Suggestion for Ultimate Campaign Armies

Rather than having the army stats and the commander stats crammed into the same "character" in a way that feels sort of weirdly ambiguous, it seems like it would work better to have an army totally self-contained, with a dropdown box that lets you select the commander (from other characters in the same portfolio) and then calculates any derived stats from there.

I don't know for sure if that's possible, but it seems like it would make the tracking a lot easier for both army and commander, and it's about the only way I can think to manage the stuff from kingdom building that uses multiple leaders.

As a general thing, it would be really handy if items on the Magic tab were listed by slot (head/shoulders/chest/etc).

Summoner synthesist

Hello,

I started playing recently a summoner but our DM have a house rule that you can rework the eidolon attribute on a point based way.

It work ok with a normal summoner as you can toy with his attribute on his tab but i cant find a way to do it with a synthesist, the arrows are greyed on the eidolon tab.

I cant find it on the editor also.

Anyone can help on that ?

Thanks

Spell Name Adjustment

Is there a way to make an adjustment like the ones to change the name of equipment/armor/weapons so that you can change the name of a spell?

Is there some reason why Activated Abilities on the In-Play tab is a full column instead of a half-column like the Adjustments? It looks to be wasting a lot of space that could be better utilized by Tracked Resources.

Allow the field rHPStart on races to be calculated.

This one is not an option. The starting HP need to be set for a race before the race is added, because once you've added the race, the HP become user-controllable. We don't want to recalculate user-controllable values, only set defaults for them, because that would overwrite the HP value the user had entered.

Ah yes, good point. I've just got a race I'm working on that the number of hit dice are calculated and therefore the I don't have a default value I can put in.

Been a while since I posted here..

So I know it has been requested to add a capability to track your purchases in Hero Labs, and this has now become more important with the recent change in Pathfinder Society Rules requiring tracking all purchases on a separate form.

I will like to request this to be added to Hero Labs and a printout format be made that matches the form/info on the Inventory Tracking sheet now Mandatory for PFS.

PFS Leadership has clarified that Custom sheets or authorized so Hero Labs can be used for the purpose, and would make this requirement much easier to implement.

Adding a Feat to Activated Abilities.

Where do I need to post to get someone to add Vital Strike and it's line of feats to the Activated Abilities portion? It's starting to get a little hairy trying to figure out all my dice rolls without having a nice little checkbox I can click to turn it on and off. Thanks, any help is most appreciated.

I'd like to second this request. Tracking purchases is mandatory from later this week in PFS, and I imagine there will be a lot of Hero Lab users looking for a way to do this within the tool.

Thirded - a time-ordered list of every purchase made, dumped as a text file would be sufficient to start with.

Here's an idea. Would it be possible to make the wDamExtra fields into an array or add an array to the various weapons. That way we can add multiple extra damages and then parse them into a list format (" plus cold, grab, and energy drain) instead of something like " plus cold plus grab plus energy drain").

Come to think of it a 2 or 3 column array might be need to handle or situations. I envision each column of the array to be listed like above, but if one has additional columns an or is put between the grouping, i.e. COLUMN 1 LIST or COLUMN 2 LIST or etc.

Features for the 'Personal' tab.

It would be suitable to have a 'add new note' feature, such as on the journal, to the 'background' tab. And the ability to re-order to the notes, or set ones that may be printed out. This allows one to add background, biography, history (not campaign), operational notes, etc. When doing custom sheets, having the information segregated makes it easy to pull out and place where you may want it.

The ability to set the handiness of the character, along with birthdate, birthplace, current location, speech patterns, or other common traits that all characters have. Nice touch rather than junking them all in a single text box, as it allows that information to be pulled out when doing custom sheets same as above.

Rules and custom items are already really extensible, which is great not having to do it through file editing, but the background and personal areas (which may seem lame to some folks) are not anywhere near as extensible which is a downside to the application.

Features for lists.
More filters than 'Everything' or 'Only valid items'. I.e. on the weapons list, it would be nice to be able to filter by general class of weapons at least. Same as on the armor. Feats could be filtered by 'Combat', 'General', etc. Equipment by different categories, i.e. 'Adventuring Gear', 'Alchemical Creations', 'Animals & Animal Gear', 'Books, Paper, & Writing Supplies', 'Clothing & Containers', 'Furniture, Trade Goods & Vehicles', 'Hirelings, Servants & Services', 'Locks, Keys, Tools & Kits', 'Religious Items, Toys & Games', etc. This makes it a bit easier to find things you are looking for.
