V1.1 - September 19, 2011
  • Added new logic to be able to sort the spell list by a "Group By" of Level and Class. When either the class or level changes a header prints to show what the new section will be.
  • Improved logic for printing for either Spellbook classes or Spontaneous casters.
  • Tested with Hero Lab v3.8a.

Attached to this post is a pair of PDFs to show what the v1.1 of the sheets look like.

Devs, is there some way that we can "subscribe" to custom sheets? If not, is it something that the current update process can be tweaked to work with? I dig the custom sheets, but I don't always notice when stuff gets updated...

For now what Exitilus said is probably the best way for now and why I keep trying to post to this same thread.

That said for the d20 community project it is actually set into the same UPDATE mechanics you use to update Pathfinder. It would be something that I could do for the sheets and maybe the Adventure Path data sets.

There are a few procedural issues I still have to work out before I could maybe do that. It is something I have wanted to do for the Pathfinder stuff but part of the problem is how fragmented the different data sets are. Where for the d20 project it is really ONE big data set and works really well that way.

Things to think about................

Any plans for people to update their custom sheets for 3.8a? I suspect that my upgrade to 3.8a broke the 3.7a-compatible sheets.

I thought I tested both my sheet and Sebacore's sheet with 3.8a and they both worked fine from what I saw. Granted I do things very quickly.

Is there specific stuff not working you can tell me about?

I have a version with a few fixes to Sebacore's sheet. Specifically:
* Correct pathfinder image in top left corner
* Add "Conditional Modifiers" space under skills, to match form in core rulebook
* Correct "Misc. Mod." column in skills table so that the numbers add up correctly
* Correct "Type" field on weapons blocks
* Fill in "Range" field on weapons blocks

I'l send it to you for posting on your site.

Well thanks, I figured it out. Sometimes knowing someone else has done something is all you need to succeed.

I'll be uploading my Version of Sebacore's sheet. Later.

Tasha

PS thanks to everyone who has worked on this and other custom sheets. It really helped me make this one nice :D

What did you do with your version?

And where have you guys been posting these, would love to see armidale's version.

armidale did send me a new version and when testing we found some issues that showed up when using different browsers (ie Firefox vs IE). He sent me a fixed version but been too busy at work to try it out yet and post it.

Probably be little later this week.

As for Tasha I didn't get any emails so can't say anything about it. Be happy to host it also as a alternate version. Or I would have to make time to merge both sheets back together.

So awesome job armidale. I have this upload and ready for download now.

Armidale's Custom Sheet

On the page is a list of the changes and a pair of preview pdfs. One of a warrior character and another of a Wizard to show off the list of spells. Very nicely done.

Thanks so much armidale for sharing this with everyone. :)

Sorry been busy working on it.

The included Graphic needs to be placed in whatever folder you output characters to.

All of the sheets based on Sebacore's have an issue with the first 3 lines displaying correctly. It's probably due to the way both Safari and Chrome deal with CSS or something like that. I know how to fix it, but was hoping to not have to do the work :P (It will be fixed in my next build). It looks great in both IE and Firefox. It prints best with the smallest margins your printer can handle.

I also borrowed code from Shadow's sheet (really only the bit that converts the Long stat names to short ones).

Love Armidale's sheet, I look forward to seeing how he did stuff. I am still learning and love to see how people do stuff.

So please feel free to repost the sheet to wherever you feel it will do the most good.

I am VERY excited to finally have a Character sheet that looks decently and nearly like the Official one. Also with Type large enough to read without a magnifier.

Tasha :D

Love the sheet.

One minor bug is that the Armor Class items don't include Deflection Bonus items like Rings of Protection...

It's a really nice looking Character sheet.

Really liking this sheet. Love the "speed" updates in squares. Not sure I like the graphics. Really like the separation of Feats from Class Features and other powers. Wish we could have sources placed after the title of the feats. That way people can easily look up the RAW.

Thanks Kizan. The HeroLab graphic is required on custom outputs, see "What are the requirements if I develop my own custom output?" at http://www.wolflair.com/index.php?context=hero_lab&page=powered_by_hero_lab#faq

I completely agree it would be good to list the source, but that doesn't seem to be supported by HeroLab at this point unfortunately.

Tasha, Like your sheet, 1 thing the Immunities/ Resistances/ Other Defenses section needs some work, it pushes everything together, Just listing the name should be good enough while leaving the full description to the Special Abilities or Feats section.

Yeah, I need to move that one. Funny, it's really succinct for things like being an elf or even Pally stuff. The Inquisitor includes a book there explaining their resistances. For now I am going to turn it off.

Does the Custom Sheet support adding PFS Factions/ PFS #, Prestige Point total and Fame Total?

Yes it does. I wasn't quite sure where I wanted to put that info. Perhaps the Faction name could appear at the top and the more detailed info could appear near the XP totals on page 2.

It also seems that I missed the section on what LoneWolf requires on these sheets. So I am going to have to include the Logo and Legalese on my sheet.
