v.2.1 Release Notes

Files updated in this release:
Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting updates
Deities and Spells (In-Progress)
-Domains have been added and bootstrapped to deities. Spells are in the process of being added to domains. Domain abilities will be added as the domain spells are completed.

  • Cavern Domain
  • Craft Domain
  • Darkness Domain (adds the Blind-Fight feat, added missing domain spells)
  • Drow Domain (adds the Lightning Reflexes feat, added missing domain spells)
  • Dwarf Domain
  • Elf Domain (added missing domain spells)
  • Gnome Domain

Prestige Classes
-Bug Fix. Updated unique id names to fix conflict with Rite Publishing data release. (This fix is the primary reason for the files being released earlier than expected.)


I have emailed the files out to everyone that is on my distribution email list. If anyone else finds bugs, please report them in the bug reporting thread. Thank you.

Important Prior to installing the data updates
Please take time to back up your characters as either pdfs or printed out copies.

Due to the number of unique id changes that were made between v.1.0 and the v.2.1 data files, many things will be broken when you install the new data. I started these files a long time ago and did not foresee problems with the unique ids that I used back when I started the data. Please keep back ups of your characters in case breakages occur between releases. I am hoping to have add an FR into the data's ids, but it is going to take me time to accomplish this task.

Future Releases
As I update the data and hammer out bugs I will send out emails to everyone that is on the FR data distribution list. If you've already sent me your email, you are on that list and will get the data as it is sent out. So watch this thread for new release notes and your email for updated data files.

Races and Deities from Pathfinder will be precluded using optional rules instead of simply selecting the setting option. Data file users please take note of this change!
 
Known Bugs: I am well aware that some of the FR data may occasionally come into conflict with other 3rd party data sets. This data was initially created before the FR moniker was added to the unique ids to distinguish them. I appreciate your understanding in this issue, as it will take time for me to resolve it, the data for Forgotten Realms is spread out amongst many data files. That one bug can be linked to many things in the data, which is why languages have yet to be adjusted. It will take many hours of combing through source code to ensure that the changes are accepted by hero lab when I do them. Also it will not be a fast process. Even changing one language name can take a while to track down all the things linked to it and make the changes necessary.

I apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but I do not have time to fix the languages right now. This problem will be repaired in a future update when I have time to address it.
 
Smokepowder bug: Smokepowder in the current version of the FR files replaces the id of black powder rather than precluding it. I have fixed this for the next release and will try to get it out soon to account for this bug fix. I apologize for any issues this may have caused users of the data files. That was a mistake on my end and shall be fixed in the next release.
