Pathfinder Bug Reports - Version 4.8

Just noticed that the Cav's Animal Link info says Druid - since it's a direct copy of that aspect. Unless it's because my PC has Druid 1 and Cav 1.
Unsure if this is fixed or if I'm just not working it right - Do the In-Play modifications - say things like using the Wand of CLW charges - stick around? I noticed that when I marked off the 8 charges for the in-play session did not reduce the number of blank boxes on the PDF printout. I'm unsure if they should or how to reduce the overall number of charges.
Issak

Uses marked on the in-play tab are not currently noted on the printed sheet. This is on my to-do list to fix.

Could you re-phrase your first question, please? I'm not sure what you're asking.

I noticed in the skill sections of both my Druid's animal companion, his riding horse and the pack horse that they all show the fly skill as a class skill. The Leopard animal companion has a Flyy skill mod of +7, the horses have Fly skill mods of +0.

It just seems unusual for them to have the Fly skill.

Core Rulebook, pg.53 - Fly is among the class skills for all animal companions.

Bestiary pg. 307 - Fly is a class skill for all creatures of the Animal type.

I just noticed that HeroLabs gives you the Persuasive feat at 8th level for the Nobility domain instead of the Leadership feat noted in the Core Rulebook (p. 46).

Leadership (Ex): At 8th level, you receive Leadership as
a bonus feat. In addition, you gain a +2 bonus on your
leadership score as long as you uphold the tenets of your
deity (or divine concept if you do not venerate a deity).

Guide to the Pathfinder Society, pg. 14: "Clerics and Druids who choose the Nobility Domain gain the Persusive feat at 8th level as a bonus feat instead of gaining the Leadership feat, as this feat is not legal for play."

So, if your character is a Pathfinder Society character, or has the "Replace Item Creation Bonus Feats" option within the "Optional Rules" section selected, he'll gain Persuasive instead of Leadership.

In the APG, one of the options for the Aspect of the Beast feat allows a druid character of sufficient level who possesses the wild shape ability with low-light vision such as an elf to gain darkvision but HeroLabs shows this feat greyed out with a notation in red stating:

You already have low-light vision or darkvision - this ability would be redundant.

Fixed in the next update, thanks for the report.

Can you try something for me, please? Create a new druid and/or inquisitor (as a new character), give them a few spells, and take a look at their spell sheets - do they have this problem? If they don't have the problem, it's probably a bug I've seen before with some 0-level spells that hang around on older portfolios, but I haven't managed to track down yet.

If the new characters don't have this problem, would you mind emailing the old ones to me - my email is my user name here, @wolflair.com, hopefully that'll help track the bug down.

I am having the same problem with my Sorcerer. Unwitting Ally shows up on the spells tab and on the print out but not under Sorcerer where I actually select my spells.

Also (and if this has been covered elsewhere, I'm sorry), my oracle of life shows all of the cure spells through 9th level even though he is only 1st level.

The spells beyond what you can cast are greyed out, right? Since prestige classes could alter the caster level of the Oracle, there's no good way to tie the aquisition of the cure spells to the class level of the oracle, and the caster level is added too late in the evaluation sequence to be useful. Basically, I couldn't find a solution that would let me only add the cure spells once they became available, so they're all present, and the ones you can't use yet are greyed out.

I have a multi-multi-classed character. Here is the level break down. Part of this is only sorta important but leads to the question being clearer. I hope.
1-Rogue / 2-Rogue /3-Bard /4- Fighter /5- Fighter / 6- Rogue /7- Druid /8- Cavalier
Goldfrapp is a halfling First Edition Bard for Pathfinder Society.
I took the Druid at 7th level with the feat Boon Companion from Seeker of Secerets (this feat is/was the main reason for coding that book in HL). This allowed my Animal Companion to be +4 levels higher, and granting me a Lion. Awesome, exactly what the Taldoran Trebuchet needs - to spout stories of TALDOR'S glory while riding the symbol of such a great nation.
But...then the APG came out and it had the Battle Hearld PrC. Awesome, but I'd need a level of Cavalier to make it work. Thus the additional class after Druid.

From what I understand, the Animal Companion from Druid stacks with Cavalier (or vice versa). When I go to the dashboard for "Empress" the Lion, a validation error says Lion: This companion type is not allowed for Cavaliers. Allowed for Druids, Lion Shaman. Hmm, what does this mean? Does this mean that I should not be allowed to provide my Cavalier bonuses to my Lion AC?

Next, and is what my previous post was about, when I am on the Hero dashboard, and view the ?/info button for the Animal Companion link on the Cavalier page - the information references Druid...(A druid can handle her animal companion as a free action....). I'm guessing that the Animal Companion Link for the Cavalier is just copied and pasted for the Cavalier and instead should read "A cavalier can handle his animal companion as a free action...." but I'm uncertain and would like to verify that this is the case.
Thanks,
Theocrat Issak

They do stack for Cavaliers/Druids - but, that also imposes the restriction that the animal type be a valid choice for all of the classes that grant animal companions.

The class name in the text is because all of the animal companion classes share the same set of core abilities for their animal companions, and I haven't gotten around to making the text generic - "character" instead of "Druid"

Correct, they are greyed out on the Hero Lab worksheet, but when you print them out, they are normal like the spells that you are able to cast.

I have seen a few others with the Unwitting Ally issue. Is there a fix for it? I realize you are busy, but a patch or something would be great.

Thanks!

Don't know if this has been reported already, but when deleting magic items from the character, the number is white, which makes it hard to read against the cream colored background. Mostly only a problem if one does not want to delete all of a stack of some item.

Hmm today I was looking for the City Born racial trait but couldn't find it.
I have all the data packages active for the character, and I see a lot of traits, but not that one.
Has it been replaced with something newer?

Make sure you have it set to show everything and not just show what the character is eligible for. I get nailed by this one everytime.

This may be a bug or my misunderstanding of the rules . . .

I made an 8th level Alchemist and gave him a suit of +1 Mithril Chainmail. My understanding is that Mithril reduces the weight category by one, so the normally medium chainmail should now be light, and Alchemists are proficient with light armor.

It looks as though HL is still imposing the non-proficiency penalties (BAB is reduced from +6/+1 to +4/-1, Skill bonuses are reduced by 2).

Mithral reduces the weight category for the purpose of what abilities can be used while wearing that armor, but not for the purpose of proficiency.

(Elven Chain does alter the proficiency required)

This is a pathfinder thing and HL is correct. It is light for purposes of Movement not proficiency. See Mithirl for full details but the important part is "This decrease does not apply to proficiency in wearing the armor."

The only exception to that rule is Elven Chainmail which is light for all purposes now.

Thank you, sir!

Cestus doesn't appear in the character sheet output, even when equipped. It shows up in the program, but not in the Stat Block or in the PDF Sheet. (It does show in the Equipment section of the sheet, but not as an Offensive stat).
