Starting Hit Points for NPC Monster using a Character Class

Hey,

I'm trying to create an NPC monster from the Bestiary - the Hobgoblin Fighter. When I add the first level of fighter to the hobgoblin, I can't seem to change the hit point value to 5, instead of the max of 10.

I've been poking around for an option to turn off 'max hit points for first class level' for PC classes, but I can't seem to find one - which is what the problem seems to be.

Thanks,
Shon

According to James Jacobs on this thread - http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboard...rResponseRequestedMountsAndBardingProficiency
Animals with 'Combat Training' or 'War Training' are not to get the Armor Proficiency feats - except the Cavalier grants the Light Armor Proficiency to his Animal Companions.
I have noticed this with my Dog as a normal Riding Dog having access to Heavy Armor. From reading the forum it seems like I am required to take these as proficiencies via Animal Companion.
I'm unsure if this is a bug or if more of a confusion area. If its a confusion area I'm stuck.

This issue was covered in the v3.6 bug reports thread - and the latest post on the subject there is less than a week old.

I'm waiting until it's properly written out as a FAQ. They've started posting FAQ entries for their various books, so I'm going to give them a few weeks to get more added, then go through the list and see what I need to change in HL.
