How to select differnt sub races and backgrounds

Hello

I am new to hero lab 5E

How do you select different sub races and back grounds because I seem to be only being shown 1 option for each?
 
Makes sure that you have downloaded the free community pack and have it selected when making your character. There are other threads that explain further and give screenshots.
 
Thanks for the help

I had the community pack but not the associated XML installed

reinstalling the community pack fixed it
