how to adjust # of atribute increases

drakahn99

Well-known member
we are using the saga edition house rule where we get 2 seperate atribute increases every 4 levels.

is there any way to modify the pathfinder data files to give 2 picks instead of 1?

thanks

I would also be interested to know if there is a way to do this. My educated guess, however, is that this is not possible on the user end; it's something LWD would have to program in as an option available under House Rules in the Configure Your Hero window.

I use a similar house rule that gives characters an attribute increase every even level, (to alternate it with feats) but don't allow the same attribute to be increased twice in a row. I use an adjustment on the Personal tab to manually add the increase, and put something like "Level 2 Attribute Increase" in the dialog box.

As this is something that keeps getting asked for by many people maybe an adjustment that allows this to be changed for a character would be the way to go. It would provide a two-fold solution as most would be able to simply add the adjustment and be done. Others doing their own house rules data sets would be able to use the adjustment as a helper in coding their own stuff.

Now I just have to find that ever elusive thing called "Time"! :D

I found some under my sofa cushion the other day. Try looking there.
Damn if its under the coach that explains why my cat has so much free time to sleep all day!!!

Not if I beat you to it, ShadowChemosh!

Now to finish my FATE! YA-Hoyle!
Damn you thats not fair! Some of us have to go to crappy client sites and don't get to "play" with HL as our day job. So you have a huge head start.... So the better test is see who can do it in the least amount of code!

Actually, I don't think less code is the way to go.

I think this is best handled within a mechanic - the same way you can go to the Mechanics tab, make a replacement copy of "Trait Mechanics", and then get level by level control of how many traits a character has at any time, the total number of attribute increases can be moved into an array on a mechanic, so that they can be altered the same way.
