Hero Lab Support Plans for Pathfinder RPG

Just added the Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic packages, and they're great! I am eager to see some of the new variant rules from UC, especially the Armor as DR variant, the Wound Points/Vigor Points variant and Piecemeal armor. Any idea if and when we'll be seeing those?

Any idea on a timeline for the addition of the Pathfinder Field Guide? A lot of people rely on HeroLab for their PFS characters to keep them current. With this book 100% legal for PFS, it has become kind of a priority for those of us using HeroLab in this manner.

I'd like to post another feeler out for the Pathfinder Society Field Guide. Lot of us PFS players want to be able to keep track of vanities and special rewards.

Aldori Swordlord Archetype

I purchased the companion guide that included the Aldori Swordlord, the Inner Sea Primer. However after reactivating my license, the Aldori Swordlord does not show up as an available archetype. Are those archetypes not part of the package?

Did you activate the source for the book? Press CTRL-K to open the configure window and check mark the Inner Sea Primer.

'New' races for Pathfinder Society

PFS recently approved a few races for new characters. Can we get the "Only basic races approved for Pathfinder Society characters." error message and condition removed from the Aasimar, Tengu, and Tiefling races? Or tell me how to get rid of it, if my own ignorance is the actual problem?

I see questions like this from PFS people all of the time, and I've always wondered, why do the error messages matter so much? I mean, yes, ultimately LW or the community is going to address this, but in the meanwhile why not just ignore the error messages if you know they're erroneous because of recent changes to the rules for PFS? Are there GMs out there that will refuse to let a character in if there are errors, even erroneous ones?

I wouldn't turn someone way for something like that, but as a VL if I see someone using HL and using say a summoner or druid with AC I do look and calculate to see if they fixed known bugs and if they haven't I point it out to them.

Out of curiosity, what is the plan for the NPC Codex? Will we be getting POR files for all of the NPCs, or will that be a community effort?

From the October Newsletter.

One thing we’re really looking forward to is Paizo’s November release of the NPC Codex, and hope you are as well. We’ll be creating portfolios for each NPC from the Codex, and, better yet, everyone with the Pathfinder game system is going to get the material for FREE! We aren’t sure of the release date for these NPC portfolios, as there is a lot of material we need to address, but we’ll keep you up to date as things solidify.

Cool, thanks. I looked a bit on the forums first but forgot about the newsletter.

Free will be, umm, interesting, since I assume that there will be some dependencies on other books. ;)

It'll be just like the portfolios we already offer from the GMG, Rival Guide, and NPC Guide - whether you can open that character or not will be based on whether you own all of the books needed for that specific character. You could of course still open them, even if there are warnings, but the content you don't have access to would be missing in that case.

Per the Paizo message board discussions, the developers have repeatedly said the NPC Codex is "Core only" (meaning Core Rulebook and Bestiary 1 for things like Animal Companions). Any dependency on another book means someone made an error at some point.
