Flesh Golem Hound

In Book 2 of Carrion Crown Adventure Path there is a Flesh Golem Hound that I'm trying to create. It's medium size which is smaller than a flesh golem and larger than a dog. It's hit dice is 8d10 which is one less than a flesh golem and a dog is 1d8. If I use Adjustments it doesn't reduce the number of hit dice for a flesh golem. I also can't figure out how to add bite attack and adjust the slam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would say that ShadowChemosh. I'm still working on fully understanding the editor. :-P LOL Back to the drawing board. lol

:) I say it because once you learn the editor a whole lot of possibilities open up.

Have you seen what you can do with my adjustment addon? With it you can add a bite attack and adjust the slam. I don't have a way yet to reduce HD. :(

I think I had that at one time before my computer crashed and had the hard drive replaced. Thanks for responding with it. :)

I'm sure a whole new world will open up once I figure out the editor, it's just the small matter of getting it learned. ;) Any chance you'll be running a class at GenCon on how to do it? ;)

I'll create the Flesh Golem Hound as I'm in the process of entering the missing monsters.

Once it's done I'll let you know then you can PM me for the files. Bear in mind though that they'll be integrated into the community pack in the future so you'll have to delete them to avoid duplicate errors.

We are indeed having some seminars at Gencon. The beginners one will be run by me this year.

Update:

I've uploaded a portfolio and the user file into the community repository ready for inclusion of next release.

Bodrin, since you created the Flesh Golem Hound maybe you can answer my question. I'm also creating it just to learn how to do it in the Editor. I think I have 90% of it figured out for the hound except the additional damage on the bite and slam. I get that five of the additional damage points come from the 20 Str, but where does the other two points come from? I have read through the description and looked at other monsters that have a 2d8+7 bite damage and I can't figure out where the two points are coming from.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you bodrin. I was scratching my head on that one but didn't get a chance to look into it. So it should be +5 and Paizo made a mistake? *shudder at the thought* Maybe they should buy a copy of Hero Lab. hehehe

How do I edit it to be +7?

Go back to where you added the natural weapon, once that new window pops up to the right of the natural weapons you'll see 4 boxes, tags, fields, copy, and condition, click tags and in the first box add Helper then in the next add NatTwoHand, the first box is for the tag group (Helper in this case) and the second box is for the exact tag (NatTwoHand)

Most of the Paizo and 3PP modules contain minor errors in stat blocks, but don't worry about it, you can override, ignore or just be ambivelant about them.

I personally ignore them, if I want the extra Feat, Skill, Damage etc.
I just include the benefits from the error.
