d20pfsrd Data Sets - Powered by Hero Lab....

I got this error, I fixed it on my end, buy FYI -

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

File: PFRPG_Psionics_Unleashed.user (line 17017) - Thing - Duplicate record encountered ('raVulnSun')
File: PFRPG_Psionics_Unleashed.user (line 17213) - Thing - Duplicate record encountered ('rCrysmal')

I got the same error message.

1.6 Errors

I just updated to the 1.6 version of the Psionics Unleashed file and now I'm getting the following error:

File: PFRPG_Psionics_Unleashed.user (line 17066) - Thing 'rCerebril' - String exceeds maximum length for attribute 'value'

Any help to correct this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

PU Sources combined together into just "Psionics Unleashed". You may get warnings about missing sources when you open up your characters. This is fine and everything will continue to work correctly.
I wanted to update everyone about the above after some research on existing .por files. Thank you to those that sent me the files to debug as it helped allot.

So you may continue to get warnings about missing Sources:
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Classes'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Feats'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Items'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Powers'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Races'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Psionics Unleashed Skills'


1) After opening a .por file you may have LOTS of things in red. Please do "CTRL-K" and re-check mark "Psionics Unleashed". Then save your portfolio and ignore any errors you get. Then re-open your character back up before making any other changes. If still getting the above warnings then go to step 2 to remove the no longer used sources.

2) To get these to go away you need to open your character up and then go to "Portfolio->Strip Missing Sources". That will remove the warning messages.

I am also getting this same error when Hero Lab loads Pathfinder. I also get this error when i try to test a custom data file.

Any help?

This is a bug in the MAC that is unable to parse some characters that get inserted by Windows. I have these stripped out and should be releasing 1.7 tonight.

The 1.6a beta version also has this fix and been tested on a Mac. You can follow to the post I linked and download the beta if you wish if you would like it right now. :)

-Expanded Knowledge feat now allows for picking a class and the level you add the bonus known spell/power too.
-Fixed the MAC value error.
-Removed all Debug statements which will stop the "bonus before round 12 ... bonus after round 12" messages from appearing.
-Tested with latest load of all official HL packages to make sure no clashes of duplicate thing errors.
-Many small Bugs squashed and smashed!!!
 
d20pfsrd - Dark Sun Setting(vX.XX)

RavenX have been hard at work inputting stuff from the Dark Sun campaign setting. It is now at a point where its ready for everyone to unleash in there games!

I just want to point out that the Dark Sun Conversion for Pathfinder is a Work In Progress and subject to change in future updates. I do not have everything implemented and working properly as of yet. I have put a lot of work into the data and still have alot to do.

ok with the recent update I am getting the Following Error Messages

Hero Lab was forced to stop compilation after the following errors were detected:

Syntax error in 'eval' script for Thing 'tmABCrSwm' (Eval Script '#2') on line 8

Syntax error in 'eval' script for Thing 'tmuCreatSw' (Eval Script '#2') on line 8

-> Tag 'Race.rClouGiant' not defined

I guess that I should add that Most of these are the Advance beastery data files + the Racial Furry of Blows data Set
as a result My Hero lab is in demo Mode
 
The first three things listed there as "not defined" are in the Bestiary 1 package. The fourth is in the Advanced Player's Guide. Do you own those packages?

When I activated the Update it told me that it had not been 120 days since last activation could that be the reason?
so It should fix itself by Tuesday

If your copy of Hero Lab became un-licensed when there was an update, the usual cause is that you've reused one of your license numbers on a second computer.

Each computer that you use Hero Lab on must use its own license number. Otherwise, the license server thinks you're moving your license from computer to computer, and will complain if you try to do that within 120 days of your last move.

To check what license number each computer is currently using, choose "About Hero Lab" from the help menu.

To get a second license number, so you can use that on another computer, choose "Obtain Secondary License" from the License menu.

For a reminder of what licenses you've been assigned, choose "Send my licenses to me" from the License menu.
 
d20pfsrd - Community Bestiary (vX.XX)
The Community has been hard at work inputting adventure path and 3PP monsters. I have combined all these different books into one large data set for the community. Inside you will find hundreds of evil creatures to torture your players with or I mean give XP too. :)

So after installing this data set you will have a large number of books that can be check marked in the Configure Your Hero window listed under the "Hero Lab Community" section. The adventure path monsters are all setup to work under the already included Adventure Path books. Please note that not EVERY book is fully inputted at this time.

-Dozens and dozens of small fixes to individual things in the data package. Sorry lost track of all the fixes put in so can't give a detailed list.
-Removed all the invalid characters that MACs have issues with.
-Removed all the images from the .por files.
-Went through every single .por file for the Adventure Paths and have fixed them all!
--If you have all the correct official packages they should load now with NO errors of any kind.
--This includes striping out all the missing/extra sources from the .por files.
--All Adventure Path .por files have been updated to the new v4.1 HL file format. So you can't open them unless you have v4.1 of Hero Lab.
--So why .por files are smaller on a individual bases they double in size when bundled together now. So I have had to break many of the AP .zip files into two pieces on d20pfsrd.
--My advice for DM's is to re-download your AP .por files from d20pfsrd to make sure they work smoothly with this latest update.
Note: Will do the .por files for the modules on the next release.
 
In the spell adjustments, Transformation is adding the character level to the existing BAB rather than replacing.

I wonder if someone might be able to help me; I'm trying out the files for Skull & Shackles from d20pfsrd and am having a little difficulty. Huge thanks, by the way, to everyone who's worked on doing those AP files!

When I open the 'Event 17 - A Mighty Fortress' file from the part 1 zip of Skull and Shackles, it throws an error for each of thirty buccaneers:

"One or more required sources are not accessible for hero 'Buccaneer #1'. Subsequent errors may be the result of this problem.
Pick 'gPIrCloBas' has been orphaned due to missing thing in batch '479'"

Repeated, changing the number, for each one of them.

I'm not getting that error on the other .por files from that zip file. I have licences for APG, B1, B2, B3, UC, UM and varius other things besides.

I'm running the HL beta on Linux under Wine with PlayOnLinux. Any suggestions gratefully received!
