d20 Dataset Project....

I need another week or so on the changes I have for 1.3 that are not currently in Dropbox. Is that too long?
Nope not at all. We don't as of yet have any set release dates, so was waiting to hear how everyone was coming along.

With the holidays I figured most people are going to be slow until the new year. So have time, but just try not to do everything all in one release is all.

Thanks

As I started compiling the immunities and vulnerabilities last year into the Types and Subtypes files I realised that it was beneficial to have the separate abilities bootstrapped and listed singularly on the character sheet. Any other scripts could look for the specials and modify them.
It also prevents forgetfulness on the part of the DM if it said Plant Immunities only on the sheet. Still got to remember what Plants are immune too.

I vote for the singular bootstraps with generic names xImmuneToCriticalHits and any special immunities from Type or Subtype is then dependent on bootstrapping the Typ or Subtypes.

I put the latest batch of my changes into the dropbox for people to review.

Hey guys,

Sorry for my recent absence. Had a baby girl on December 8th (our first), and was pretty consumed by that for a few weeks. I should start to get back into things this week or next, though it looks like I have some catching up to do first. Lots of great work by everyone here.

Congratulations indeed, Sendric. I remember when my baby girl was born; it was utter chaos for a long time for us.

Thanks, guys. Actually got most of a night's sleep last night. It was nice. :)

Anyway, I'm looking to get back to work on the remaining classes from Complete Psionics. I think I've got how to handle the mantles so perhaps by this time next week I'll have that all completed.

Yeah, truly congrats Sendric. I wish you and your newly expanded family all the best.

I'm adding a steady stream of monsters and such. When should I stop? Like, when do you guys want to start testing for release 1.3?

I am going to do a Beta cut tonight (1/10/2011) around midnight. So I will be coping all the .user files in Drop Box out and doing a 1.3 beta test build then based on the .user files as they are now. Once I have that created and working I will be sending out to a few people to do some testing.

Then we can either clean up any issues or finish out anything people are working on. I am thinking about freezing 1.3 in about 10 days and getting ready to roll out 1.3 then to the community a few days after that.

As always great job everyone. Its amazing to see some days 9+ .user files show up in the drop box.

Thanks

I don't know if my files are showing up in DropBox, but I haven't finished with my stuff yet. I'm still adding mantle powers at the moment.

I'm on hold with custom stuff at moment, work has taken priority since new year! MIC specific weapons will develop slowly as and when I can get on the PC.

Using iPad and iPhone to post at moment, no Internet access.

Sendric congratulations on the new addition to your family. Welcome to the hardest most rewarding career ever, the world of parenthood!

17 years on and my children still keep me awake at night.

Just a quick update I was not able to finish a beta build of 1.3 last night. Stupid real work got in the way. Will see how tonight goes.

Sendric - If you let me know the files I can double check they are their.

The files I'm currently working on are:

CPsi - Ardent.user
CPsi - Divine Mind.user
CPsi - Powers.user (being updated)

As I said, though, these aren't ready for Prime Time. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to update the powers, but there really isn't much point until the Ardent and Divine Mind are done.

As posted in the d20 forums, I added updated Custom - Core Races Mods and MM - Immunities to the dropbox last night to fix some errors noticed by bodrin.

Hey lawful.

I've managed to adjust the A True believer feat you supplied with the Relic file you supplied me with, to replace the True Believer (CDiv) version already entered by the Complete Divine data, deities can be selected now once the feat is added.

However i'm trying to get the Bow of the Wintermoon (MIC page 48)to bootstrap the Frost and Bane abilities but I keep stumbling on the eval script.

Relic Power: If you have established the proper divine connection, this bow gains the frost and drow bane weapon properties (DMG 224).
To use the relic power, you must worship Corellon Larethian and either sacrifice a 5th-level divine spell slot or have the True Believer feat and at least 9 HD.

I just got that same error message myself, not 5 minutes before reading this post. I think it has to do with the Custom Magic weapon scripts attempting to modify something on the base weapon in the Gizmo. In my case I was making a magic composite longbow that has a set Str bonus.

How are you trying to bootstrap something with an eval script? Do you mean forwarding a user tag so something bootstrapped with a condition shows?

If not, then I would be excited to hear what you are up to?

Sorry all work has taken over free time. MIC weapons has taken a nosedive in development.

Lawful I just entered Frost and Bane unique ids in the script where the assign the once per day spells is in the final script. The zip files attached to my original post contain the bow script just look for iBane and iFrost.

Until some time later in the future, adieu!
