So, I don't know if you'd consider this snark or not, but I actually got chased out of someone's house ... at the point of a sword.

We were having a three day D&D marathon (Labor Day or Memorial Day weekend, can't recall which). As happens at such gatherings, the puns were flying loose and thick. The host of the game, also being the DM, was getting her fill of it.

At one point, we took a break, and she pulled down a sword that was hanging on her wall and started polishing it while she chatted with various players.

She began telling one of them how she was having a problem in her basement with Japanese beetles ... to which I responded, "weren't the Beatles British?"

Then the sword is pointed at me. I get up and run up the stairs. She runs up after me. I run out of the house. She runs out after me. I run around the house. She runs around after me.

Ah, those were the days. :-D
