Any recent updates on the progress of Content Market

To be expected after Rob’s post. Glad he explained it before the newsletter. Well well, just adding a few more layers with that patience lotion.

Cant wait to get my hands on some good stuff in CM. Yay:)

Log in to HLO, go to Manage Account (in the upper-right Gear menu), and under Account Info you can associate your HLC account with your HLO account. It's not going to do much at present, though, as they haven't implemented the HLC game systems yet. (Also you'll have to pay when they do; the statement this week was that it will cost about $20.)

Thanks!

It is really nice seeing Rob's updates. Even though it is not necessarily advancing as quickly as we would all like (we are an impatient bunch after all ;)), hearing about the issues and the various work being done is encouraging and uplifting.

I'm not trying to be cold-hearted, cynical or seeming like I do not care. I do.
But I understand you have/had health issues and these are being addressed. But I'm probably speaking what a lot of people have on their minds. If this was any other employee out there and they kept missing deadlines and having different reason for missing it.
They would have been fired/replaced

Rob's last statement in his most resent update:
The constant exhaustion makes it hard to focus on complex problems right now, so I’ll be tackling less intricate issues this week. I’m also working to get things into a state where I can enlist the assistance of another developer on some items. I’m not sure how successful I’ll be in that effort, but it seems like the smarter approach based on how I’m currently feeling.

Yes, he states he will enlist the assistance of another developer on some items. But what does this mean.
Will the Content Market see the light of day this year? Or based on these past 2 updates and seeing we are mid October now and the holidays are fast approaching for this year, are we looking at 2019 now as the release of the CM?

That's not a given. Some employers understand and make allowances for mitigating circumstances. Even if they do lay you off, it would be with the understanding that you can return to your former position when you've recovered.

I speak from experience.

Some employer's will fire you (to the extent that your absence falls outside the protections of FMLA), but not all.

And I believe, but don't quote me, that Rob is the chief cook and bottle washer, aka the owner of the company. So, little bit hard to fire yourself. LOL.. I could be wrong...

If they go public, he can get demoted from the CEO position after some Elon-Musk-like-stunt and go on the bench, still keeping enough stocks to be part of the board.
Otherwise I don't see how you fire yourself... :D

Rob is the owner and creator of Realm Works. We're a small company, it would be very difficult to survive without him. :)

Chemlak's list was good, but EightBitz topped it with one. LOL

Hang in there Rob. It will seem like a lifetime, but you will eventually get your health back.

Avi, how is an employee's health issue handled in your country? I know most developed countries are far more advanced in most areas like health care, education, employee rights than the US.
