I am having a serious issue with Hero Lab. Whenever I try to update the pathfinder data files, the import fails and corrupts the data files. I have tried re downloading then update multiple times and even reinstalling hero lab, but I still get the same error. I cannot load the Pathfinder Data files.
I have had this error in the past, but have been able to load the data files; now I cannot. I recently reformatted my hard drive and curiously the problem persisted. Image below Yhank you for any help you can provide! |

Try downloading the updated file from this page: http://www.wolflair.com/index.php?co...page=downloads - store it on your hard drive and then launch it. Does that let you get around the problem?
Another thing to try would be to temporarily disable any firewalls or anti-virus software before downloading the update - those may be interfering with the download process. |

Try directly downloading the update through your web browser: http://www.wolflair.com/download/hp/pathfinder.hl
Once download just double click to start the install. Also make sure you don't have windows defender or Anti-virus software that is causing problems. The few times I have seen this it was caused by Windows Defender... I recently had to rebuild my machine, and reinstall HL. I can't seem to get the pathfinder.hl community pack to import. I have tried both the manual download and the URL for the pathfinder.hl community import from the updates option within HL.
*) I am running HL on Mac OSX Mojave. *) Import version is 14.13. *) The import directory is owned by the user that HL is running under so it shouldn't be a permissions issue. I assume it's related to size as the HL application just "stops responding" once the import is launched. All the file names get created at the path below as expected, but are 0 bytes in size ~/Library/Application Support/Hero Lab/data/pathfinder Last edited by kalima32; November 27th, 2018 at 11:18 AM. |
