Let me just start by saying, I'm not a programer, and I don't script. I understand it, but I don't really use it. I don't know all the programming lingo required to make any programs.

That being said, I'm trying to create abilities for a weapon that mirror other weapons, such as a luck blade. I want to use some of the abilities of the luck blade with a one handed version of an Elven Curved Blade (which I created for normal weapons) and give it certain properties. If I could look at the build for the luck blade, I could mirror it to what I want to do, but can't access the file to see how it was done.

So, here is my problem. I've notice there is a tab for Item power for the hero lab editor. But I see lots of limitations. I tried to make a magic weapon using the bootstraps for the luck blade and the Rapier of puncturing and ended up with 3 weapons. I really don't know how to do what I want.

What I want is to build a one handed Elven curved blade (1d8) with adamantine metal, Keen, with the luck bonus for saving throws that you get for the luck blade, and have the saving throw bonus work on the character sheet. I would also like to have the option to add other powers not listed in the new magic weapon area and not have to worry about how to create it.

Go into the editor and create a new data file. Then go to the Weapon, Magic and click on the blue button in the bottom left corner marked New(Copy). From their you can select your Luck Blade and see how it gets built or simply give it a new name and Unique ID and have a new type of Luck Blade.

Also to turn it into a Elven Curve Blade you want to look into the Gizmo button.
