A strange thing has been happening. Three of my books keep unchecking themselves. I can have it set in with the default setup for a character. then when I go to make a new character the three books are unchecked again.
Any ideas? Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints. |

Are they sources for books we sell, or 3rd party stuff?

They are copies that I made of the following:
Cheliax, Empire of Devils Sargava, The Lost Colony Taldor, Echoes of Glory Never had problems with them before, now they won't stay checked. Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints. |

Yeah I imputed the data myself from those books.

The only way I can think of for this to happen is you have two computers opening the same .por file. On one computer you have the .user files and on the second one you do not. When you open on the second computer HL would give an error. But if you then saved the characters it could remove reference to the sources.
Other than that I can't think of much. I assume your not doing a Prepare for Distribution on your .por files right? That can change checked sources. Otherwise I have seen official sources for new books will auto-activate themselves on old characters. But never seen sources get removed. Is the Id of these sources the same as the one we create for that book?
If you were using the same Id, but you don't own the package, that might create situations where some tests accept that a new id has been added through the editor, by creating items with that source, and other tests might say "this package isn't owned, so it must be active because someone who owns the book created a character and gave it to someone who doesn't own the book - this source can't stay turned on, because they don't own this book". |

For my IDs I always use an "M' before the ID. It is only being used on one computer. The unchecked boxes always show up when I build a new character and I manually have to check them.
I have them checked when I set defaults but when I use defaults on a new character they are unchecked again. Some days I don't know why I bother to chew through the restraints. |
