I *need* to make changes to the midgard campaign setting files.
I play in midgard but I've noticed that these datasets completely replace the races available and that limits options (e.g. no ARTs, limited favoured class bonuses). Also, when using the midgard only languages selection other languages are present. I can't remember if there's a way to set Midgard only deities either... Is there a way to edit these files even though they're provided via the herolab site? |

You could use a mechanic to alter the midgard versions of things to your liking and restore the options you feel are limited.

As Aaron said as the files are locked inside of HL just like the Paizo stuff is. So your only choice is to modify, Replace Thing ID, or *Preclude/*Hidden to make your changes. Just as if working with anything provided by Paizo.

Argh! I'm using a windows tablet since my laptop died, heavy use of the editor is really difficult these days.
Is it intended that, for example, the Midgard halfing doesn't have any of the alternate racial traits and favoured class bonuses of the normal halfling? Just wish there was a way to select midgard options to be available without excludig other options. The same way that you can have pfs options without pfs limitations. |

I'm not sure what their intention is, truth be told. They may have plans to release their own versions of ARTs and FCBs, or perhaps it is an oversight. I'd ask Kobold Press.
