I just applied the latest HeroLab update. Now when I create a new character (Warlock - Hexblade) I tend to get errors like:

I see reports in 3.5 D&D threads also saying the same thing. Meaning I would point to the new binary .exe as the issue. Not the game system.

I am looking at this issue now and as far as I can see these messages are spurious, i.e. they are annoying but don't actually cause errors in the character. This means that error can be safely ignored for now, but I realize it is annoying and should be fixed.
This appears to be a side effect of the change that was made that was causing crashes in some cases. If someone is having actual problems with characters in the new release, please respond with that issue and I will prioritize it. |

ShadowChemosh:
I kind of figured it was the binary itself and not the game system since that was all that was updated. I don't current;y have my Pathfinder stuff downloaded and installed, so I didn't test that. DaveM: It doesn't crash the program true, but after you get the error from a drop down, spurious, non-related data occurs in the drop down. A fix for this issue has been released as 8.5c tonight. Please let us know if this does not completely solve the issue.

Couldn't connect to the server. Latest updates could not be retrieved. I'll try again later.

I'm getting the error "Error: Ignore Requirements uses "agent" source, but not agent pick is present!" when adding a Martial Flexibility Feat to a Level 1 Brawler I just made. It also doesn't apply the feat.
In this case I was adding "Dodge" and I do not see the Brawler's AC increase either. |
