Thanks to ShadowChemosh's wonderful community pack, I can do quite a lot, but when I run into something that involves using the editor, I am completely lost. Is there a good resource for learning the ins and outs of data file authoring? I want to be able to do things like add a new aura, or a special quality that edits racial sneak attack dice. Thank you in advance!

Check out some of the videos on Youtube. ShadowChemosh also lists some links to resources for things like terminology in his signature, I believe.

I would recommend reading the Glossary of Terms for the Editor. Then check out FAQ#2 for all the places to learn about the editor including YouTube videos. Welcome to the wonderful world of using the HL editor which will be the most frustrating and rewarding thing you can do with Hero Lab.
The above is my standard reply. But it has all the stuff I know about. Honestly even the above only gets you started. HL scripting like any language is complex and will require patience to learn. Hero Lab Resources: Pathfinder - d20pfsrd and Pathfinder Pack Setup 3.5 D&D (d20) - Community Server Setup 5E D&D - Community Server Setup Hero Lab Help - Hero Lab FAQ, Editor Tutorials and Videos, Editor & Scripting Resources. Created by the community for the community - Realm Works kickstarter backer (Alpha Wolf) and Beta tester.- d20 HL package volunteer editor. |
