Rifts for Savage Worlds

I was also doing some thinking for the arcane users and how cybernetics effects them in addition to the normal strain limits. I was looking at the Encumbrance scripts for the savage worlds data set. Is it possible to create a hidden stat for arcane users like encumbrance that is set to zero, and each point of "spiritual encumbrance" if you will gives them a -1 to their arcane casting skill?

Also I noticed that ISP and PPE were added, but the power points provided by the arcane background or power point edge are not populating those numbers. What syntax needs added to do that?

I think both of these can be resolved with scripts on the Rifts mechanic.

I believe there is a CurrStrain field/resource. Could check if that is greater than 0 and if the hero has a particular tag like Rifts.MagSklPen apply -1*current strain to bonus (I don’t remember offhand if there is a penalty field or not...).

For the ISP/PPE, May just be a matter of finding the right timing to apply Power Poits field Values to the respective ‘type’ of energy...

Would that work?
 
So I am working on the Ley Line Walker, and I was wondering about if we wanted to do anything with powers/mega powers. Would it be possible to add in Savage Rifts copies of the powers that if you have the Master of Magic or Master Psionics Edges that it unlocks the megapower aspect of the power? Or do we just create a power that has both the basic and mega powers in the entry and let the player manage which aspect they can use?

Right now, it may be simplest to do a mega version separately, and simply add that to the users list with the appropriate edges....

Although, I may need to double check how that’s handled to be sure.. lol

Hey all,
Just got my Savare Rifts books, and got Hero Lab up and running again (havent used it since Shadowrun a couple of years ago).
I bought/installed Savage Worlds, and downloaded the Github files and added them to the data/savage dir. But I now get this error when I open the Savage Worlds:

"Thing 'edgSRUpgra' - Thing required thing 'racSFconst' that does not exist'

as well as 3 more like that, including: 'hinSFCybRe', 'cybAdrenal' and 'cybAquatic'

Am I missing some expansions or other?

PS: Thanks for the great work on this! :)

Now I am having an error where the "free" Breed Advantage box on the Racial tab is detecting some of the Advance-purchased Breed Advantage Edges and is saying the Breed Advantage resource is overspent.
 
So other than cleaning some of the issues up, the major things we have to finish are the dragon and the mystic. Those are both kind of complicated. The dragon I was toying around with it using the base character in the humanoid form, and then having the dragon form be something that is selectable like powered armor. But that was when we were having issues with the stats after adding the powered armor.

Of course the mystic and the dragon both have the issue of dual arcane backgrounds. Is there a way to add a tag to the mystic arcane background so it counts as both a miracle background and a psionic background? It there any other work arounds.you can think of?

Other than those two issues, what heavy lifts is there left to do. We need to code how the characters with Master of magic and master psionics get both normal and mega powers when they choose a power.

Other than that I think I am going to start on making a separate data file for some of the fan made stuff.

I think Techno-Wizard still needs to be done as well.
 
So I just completed the Techno-wizard, and I am working on the megapowers. I was wondering if anyone has an idea how to make the system of Modifying the tw equipment? Is there a campaign setting that allows for gear customization that I can look at.

I think the Pathfinder system has custom weapons and magic items in HL. Is that what you were looking for?
 
The Fantasy Companion has gear customization for making Magic Items, if that's the kind of thing you mean.
