Pathfinder Community Packs

I can't seem to reproduce the error. But, it's a mechanic with adjustments bootstrapped to it. It's in the COM_PackModern - Path Heroes.user file. I think you would be ok just to delete the mechanic.
 
Yes, only after I updated, like the person stated above it has to do with the COM_PackModern - Path Heroes.user but when I deleted the mechanic, I received more errors. I'm not sure what the silent thing is referencing.

Really need to know if you are on Windows, Mac or iPad. Sounds like Windows. Never mind see next post.

Deleting a single file or Thing will often make things worse not better. :(

This is the message that I get when I load pathfinder after the last update. Can anyone help me out?

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

Silent thing references abandoned thing 'pMPClDmMdf' that now exists
Silent thing references abandoned thing 'pMPFamKick' that now exists
Aftering checking these Unique ID's and trying out some installs only ONE way this could happen. You installed both my Shadow d20 pack and the community Pathfinder Pack. Only way this issue arises.

So here is what you need to do:
1) Start HL and Pathfinder.
2) From the menu go to Tools->Manage Third Party Updates.
3) In the new window that appears select "Shadow d20" and press Delete. Select "Pathfinder Pack" and press "Delete".
4) Restart HL but do not select Pathfinder.
5) Press "Find Updates" and then click on "Add Source". Delete the URL for
Code:
www.shadowsoftware.net/herolab/shadowd20/updates.xml
. Press OK.
6) In the new window look for "Pathfinder Pack (v1.6)" and download and install.
7) Start Pathfinder. You should be all good now. :)
 
I've attached a .user file with an adjustment that I think would be a good addition to the Community Packs (I know I use it fairly often). It lets you append text to the end of a weapon's damage text. I've used it in a few cases, such as adding "plus poison" to an NPC's weapons, or "plus 1d6 fire" to a creature that I've advanced with extra HD...stuff like that. I was actually pretty surprised this wasn't in the Community Packs already.

I've attached a .user file with an adjustment that I think would be a good addition to the Community Packs (I know I use it fairly often). It lets you append text to the end of a weapon's damage text. But the Pack does have "Weapon Elemental Dmg, Custom" which lets you set the value to anything that is typed into the "Duration" field. This is appended to the weapon using Extra Damage. I use "Duration" because the this adjustment was created before I knew that the Personal Tab did not allow Duration to be entered.

What it sounds like is I should add some better "text" notes to the adjustment so it can be found in a search.

They all relate to the "Surprising Aptitude" Class Ability (which is correctly sourced marked) and are in the COM_PackModern_SGG - Investigator user file. They all relate to the "Surprising Aptitude" Class Ability (which is correctly sourced marked) and are in the COM_PackModern_SGG - Investigator user file. A couple of other items that look like they need to be source-marked, from third-party publisher Rogue Genius Games. They appear in the feat list as though they were in the PF Core Rulebook (i.e., when I do not have content from Rogue Genius Games checked for any character in the portfolio):

- "Surprise Attack" is described identically to the RGG feat as shown at D20PFSRD (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/spell-specialization). As far as I can tell, there is no Paizo-published feat with this name. There is, however, a Rogue Talent called “Surprise Attack” in the Core Rulebook, which appears correctly in HL under Rogue Talents.

- "Spell Specialization" appears twice in the HL feat list, once as described in Ultimate Magic (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/spell-specialization) and once as described in the feat of the same name published by Rogue Genius Games (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/3rd-party-feats/rogue-genius-games/general-feats/spell-specialization).

I checked the editor, and the “source” field is empty for both RGG feats.

Thanks for all of the effort you put into the Community Pack. I can’t imagine running my group’s game without it.

I never noticed all the adjustments you added. I was able to use them to essentially create an eldritch godling and a mighty godling without having to build the classes from scratch. It took a little work, but it worked for about 95% of what I needed. That's amazing. The only thing I would request is the option to hide but not disable the adjustments from the character sheet. I really want to thank you for all the hard work you and the community have put into this.

Sweet! I use the adjustments allot myself to modify monsters quickly as a DM. Happy to hear how well they worked out!

I don't recall HL character sheet doing that before. I would not be surprised if it was a PFS thing. Not sure I can actually do anything. Could be something you could ask LW about adding. Based on THIS post others are asking for the same thing.
 
That was added to the character sheet printout, with the latest version of Hero Lab.
I updated to the new version, sometime between last week's Saturday session and our session Saturday of this week, and it is a new feature.

There didn't seem to be an easy option to suppress that portion of the print out.

We're starting an adventure path soon with Gestalt characters, the installation seemed to go ok but I've gotten this error.

Sounds like your community pack install has been corrupted somehow - re-download it and see if that fixes the issue?
