Login ideas

I am sure this has been said before and I am also pretty sure I asked it awhile back. But is there anyway you (the developers) could please implement a little check box to remember the password we use to log on?

I haven't been using Realm Works hardly at all since I got it (I've been waiting on the calendar function, this world is steeped in history and it is not a Gregorian calendar and has two timelines). Which is a shame because Realm Works is so useful. But so far every time I log on I have had to reset my password because I apparently keep forgetting it. And that is really annoying. So pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top?!

I agree that this would be helpful. I haven't had to reset my password, but it still would be nice to remove this hurdle to starting the program and editing my realm.

As was pointed out in another thread, the username cannot be changed. So why is there a login at all??? If it's a single-user only application, the security of the program should be at the system, not the application level.

Some users may have RW installed on shared devices. Such users may find the login helpful, but I would think that the majority would rather do away with the login.

I don't think this statement is 100% correct. The RW user id is locked to the Windows User ID and account. So if you switch the Windows User ID you can enter a different RW User.

The idea was that if multiple people used a computer that each would have a different windows user id. Allowing each to easily have different RW User IDs.

When you setup/installed RW it had a very special window that appears explaining this that you had to press OK to get past. ;)

That's all well and good, but I would like to do away with the login all together. I will settle for it simply remembering my password instead of having to enter it every time I log in.
