Psionics Unleashed (Dreamscarred Press) - WIP

TCArKnight and I both currently have other projects on our plate that are of a higher priority than Psionics Expanded. I cannot speak for the work that he has done so far on it as to how far along he has gotten with the project, but I do not have the time to help him with the input of the powers right now as I did with the Psionics Unleashed release. I would like to point out to everyone that neither of us receives any compensation for the Psionics Unleashed work, this was something we did as a labour of love for psionics. While I too enjoy psionics, I must emphasize that paid projects that we get compensation for will usually take precedence over side projects like this. As of right now, until I have the Deathwatch data finished, all side projects I am involved with are on the back burner, including psionics expanded. So as for an ETA on when you will get the data, I wish I could provide something solid, but at this time I have other things that are more important going on. All I contribute to these datafiles is the powers, TCArKnight does the majority of the work on races, classes, etc. and I just don't have time to work on them right now.
 
Anyone have an ETA for Psionics Expanded? While I prefer to stick to HL as I do not have the patience to obtain, read, memorize all the books, etc. I have one fellow gamer who insists on creating real obscure characters, etc. 1/2 of our current party is out of the expanded handbook... a Duergar Vitalist and a Blue Aegis... neither of which i can include in the party on HL.

In regards to the player you have, I allow players to use Psionics Expanded options on pen and paper sheets, but the player must provide a copy of the sheet to me as the Dungeon Master and their own sheet must reflect what is on the copy I keep on file with my notes right now, until we have time to actually get work done on this data. Any changes the player makes to their copy of the sheet must be discussed with me in person and we both make the adjustments as necessary. Its a little more bookkeeping, but my players usually have printed sheets from Hero Lab to work with anyway when we actually play. I am not saying that you have to do this, but am just letting you know how I have been handling this issue. I too have players that prefer to play Obscure classes and races and I have to adapt to it at times. One of them has a character limit per year for non-standard classes and races though, as he has done nothing but play obscure things if we let him get away with it. He'd play a Paladin in Dark Sun if I let it slide, but I won't.
 
does anyone know anything about the two races missing in the psionics unleashed the githyanki and the githzera there in the book but cant find them after install i have tried reinstalling any help will be appreciated

Currently I don't know the answer as I am here at work and no access to HL or PU stuff to check. I will take a look as soon as I can and let you know...

Also PU stuff is going to soon come back onto my radar for projects again and I have lots of plans for this package that I would like to do. So why its not "soon" its coming where hopefully we will be able to make some good progress again on this stuff. :)

I checked on this and the Gith were not included in the Psionics Unleashed data. I just don't have time to include them. They're still on my to-do list for dark sun.
 
Alright well thank you so much I was just making sure I didn't mess something when installing but I love the new update its a lot of fun thanks to all that have been working on it great job!!!!!
 
This is to document the way to add a new Psychic Warrior path ability.

=New Tags=
PsyWarrior.PathSkill - This gets placed on a selected skill so that the number of times the skill has been selected as a Skill Bonus can be tracked.

=New Procedures=
~ Setup Psychic Warrior Maneuver/Trance First 10000.
~ This call is placed on a Maneuver/Trance class ability at First/10,000. It setups the correct level of the Maneuver/Trance is gained based on if its parent Path ability is a Primary/Secondary.

Call PsyWarTrMa

~ Setup Psychic Warrior Path Custom Ability - First 100
~ This call is placed on the Custom Ability "Path" thing so that all the tags on the Path are correctly used to setup Skills and Powers.

Bonus Class Skill is setup by selecting the skill or skills using the "Additional Class Skills" button or simply add the tag "ClassSkill.?" to tags section.

Skills are setup on the "Tags" button where you add each skill with the tag group "NotClassSk". So in the above example you would add "NotClassSk.skAcrobat".

Powers are setup on both the Tag section and the "Spontaneous Bonus Spells" section. On the tag section you use the tag group "ClsAllowSp" so for our example we would add "ClsAllowSp.spPrecogD1".

Setup the same spells/powers on the "Spontaneous Bonus Spells" be sure to select the "Psy Warrior" class.

On the tag section for each of these Spells/Powers you will need to manually add the "Hide.Spell" tag.

For the scripts simply add the call to the procedure PsyWarPath at First/100.

Array Based Menu? must be setup so that the Array element 0 is "Primary" and the element 1 is "Secondary".

=Trance/Maneuver=
You then build the Path's "Trance/Maneuver" ability as individual Class Specials. These are then bootstrapped onto the Path custom ability using the "Class Special Abilities" where you DO NOT set a level.

On the Trance/Maneuver Class Special you have to always add a call to PsyWarTrMa at First/10000:

I for one wish to thank all involved in the Psionics project. I understand that the paying jobs take priority (food, bills, LIVING, all kinda important things that only $ can fix lol). I only wish I was wealthy enough to afford to help out financially. Unfortunately being disabled on a fixed income that just isn't a real option for me.

I am willing to buy the data set, and it would be great if it was through Hero Lab itself (like the 1001 spells, the Tome of Horrors and Midgard stuff). It would help to fix errors. For example, when I pick psionics it shows up as an error when I choose my powers as the counter does not seem to work properly.

I can't speak to "selling" it but I can say that new stuff is coming in the Pathfinder Hero Lab software. So TCArknight and I have talked and decided that instead of releasing what we have which will make people having to change their characters. Then get new features in HL and make changes again we are just going to wait for the new features. This way when we roll out "version 3.0" to the community you should have less to "redo" about your characters.

Unfortunately this means people are waiting but I think the final package will be very nice actually. Should allow us to fully support Psionics then. :)
 
Looking forward to this, especially now with Ultimate Psionics coming out. I've been putting in a few things myself to gain experience with the editor. So far I have all the Dream and Psionic traits, as well as a few other minor things.
 
I don’t know if it just my but i have trouble whit the last update of Psionics Unleashed.
When I made psion I go to many power points.
Ex Psion level 6, 24 of intelligence, human = 35 for the level + 21 fon int. = 56 PP
Hero lab = 91 PP.
I made test and it look like the level it count double. 56 PP + 35 PP for level of the Psion = 91.
 
Thought I would share a Psioncis Update for everyone.

If you didn't know HL just made huge changes to the Psionics frame work in Pathfinder and so many of the "features" of our community package broke. I am in the process of re-working PU community package right now to work with the new frame work. This includes things like moving all the "Spells" to actually be "Powers". :D

During this I found some "bugs" in HL that are causing issues. So I am working with LW to resolve those. Unfortunately those bugs are big enough that I can't release what I have until the official bugs are fixed. I am in no WAY blaming LW or Aaron and personally think Aaron did a GREAT job with implementing Psionics. What I am finding never would have been seen by LW unless they actually started inputting classes and powers.

I am working on a fixing "allot" of issues with PU currently and this includes moving over allot of fixed issues that was previously done but never released to the community (ie it only existed in Dropbox). So many feats are fixed and the Soulknife Mindblade can now easily be made magical.

The new release dubbed "v2.0" will be out as soon as LW and myself do a little monster bug killing for XP. If these bugs really get me annoyed I may have to bring out my +3 Core Rule Book Vermin Bane weapon. :)

Also wanted to mention that with v2.0 all Spells/Powers will be wiped/removed from your character when you load the .por file. So my advice is a make a Paper Backup copy of your powers or make a pdf of your powers and save it. This way you can easily add back your powers when the new version comes out. Sorry about that...
 
Kind of you to say, ShadowChemosh, but this is definitely my bad.

Best way to test a new system is to build something with it, but since we're not entering anything officially I didn't go to the trouble of building a whole class. Time is tight, and that effort would have been be wasted I thought. I shouldn't have cut corners, because I missed some things which I'm working to resolve now. Once those are done, we can get ShadowChemosh a copy of the changes so he can finish his update. However, we won't be able to release the fixes to everyone until the monthly release in a couple weeks.

Getting psionics working is definitely a big deal. Very glad to have it now available and for all the work you've put in on it. :)
 
Aaron - you Kicked the Red Dragons butt, so what if a few goblins got through, you still have done a great job and are still doing a great job. No worries. Thanks for all you do.
 
So 2.0 work is going good and we have the Psion, Psychic Warrior, and Wilder fully moved over to use the new Powers and Psionics Framework. Things are looking good for releasing this 2.0 right after LW official release this month. :D

While we did this work we made anything we change work like the rules in Ultimate Psionics. No real point to fix it and then just have to redo the work again in a month. So if things work a little different as in their are 0-level powers called "Talents" the reason is its from Ultimate Psionics. We also updated text to match Ultimate Psionics also.
