I've recently bought Hero Lab together with a number of additional packages like Ultimate Equipment and the Bestiary Bundle.

I wanted to create an undead lizard folk creature but I cant find the undead template. Or how do I do that?

Help a hero lab newb pls!

Add the Lizard Folk race.
Go to the class tab and then click the "click here to add optional class levels".
A new box opens with all the classes.
In the search bar at the top type in what you want E.G Zombie.
The list will show you every selection that contains the word Zombie.
double click zombie and you'll have a shiny new Zombie Lizardfolk, "Undead" of course.

Do the same for other variants of undead things.

I have a companion question: How can I get the program to allow me to have non-evil aligned undead?

you can use the editor to make a duplicate of the template you want on the template tab in the editor.

then put the old Unique Id in the field on the right called "Replaces Thing Id"

then scroll down on the options until you see Alignment Required and remove the check mark under any evil.

click save on the bottom left and then upper left click test now to recompile and reload the data file.

you will probably want to make a new user file and save it as a unique file name, with only this modification so its easier to find if issues come up with it.

You can also just go to the "Background" tab and change the alignment to whatever you want. Just ignore the warning message you get from the undead template. Everything will still work correctly.
