Error messages - Page 2

I've actually gotten this myself tonight at my gaming table.

It worked last Tuesday running my campaign. Yet this week, no go.

The only thing I did between now and then is download the 7.1 Pathfinder update, and the Community Bestiary and Psionics Unleashed updates.

None of my user files are loading, even the custom stuff I've created. None of which has been modified since my game last week.

Is there any way to get Hero Lab out of Safe Mode?

Nevermind, I excluded the file I had with my custom stuff in it, and everything started up fine.

Is anyone able to tell me what I screwed up in the file?

When I add this to my data folder I get a sourcing error regarding the parent source "pPsiUn". I would recommend checking your sources. If that's not the error you are getting, then perhaps posting the error here would help.

If I had to guess, I'd say that source is probably for TCArcKnight's Psionics Unleashed files.

I would assume, but since I have that, it's either sourced incorrectly or the source name changed (or its something completely unrelated).

Yea your user file had Half-Giant (Non Acclimitised) set to the old "Psionics Races" source which got removed in version 1.5. I have fixed the file and attached it again to this post. Yea I am really sorry everyone as I didn't fully think through the impact of letting the Sources so drastically get changed.

I will be sure not to allow that in future changes for all the community stuff. Live and learn as I didn't think about stuff others have made that where linked to the sources that got removed.

Give the attached file a try and see if its all good again.

I excluded the file I had with my custom stuff and now each time i change something on my character or on new one i got this:

bonus before round 15
- - -
bonus after round 15

On new one it the same just the number change 0
What that ?

Tested the file and it works perfect now

And honestly, don't beat yourself up over it. These things happen, and you've done so much good for the HL community, and put in a ton of effort and your own time, and an insignificant little thing like this is nothing

Just thought I'd raise it with the group, in case it was part of a bigger issue.
That, and I only found it as I sat down to my game, so it made me a bit frantic.
Luckily the character I was playing didn't have anything from my custom file!

I am currently not sure of what is causing this or even how to reproduce it. Can you send me your .por file so I can test it out. You can email me at "my Forum User id @yahoo.com". That way I can actually see and play around to figure what is going on. Please include your Forum User ID so I can keep track as I have several people sending me .por files.

So was thinking last night and figured I should mention that if you wish you can "ROLL" back to a earlier version of Psionics Unleashed if you wish. You can actually do this with any and all the Community Data sets I release through the Powered by HL feature.

Step 1 - THIS link will take you to the folder on my server where I store ALL of the .hl files. I never erase the old versions so you can follow it and download "PsonicsUnleashed_v1.4.hl". Put this somewhere you can find it.

Step 2 - Start HL and Pathfinder. Then go to "Tools->Manage Third Party Updates". On the new window select "Psionics Unleashed v1.6" and click "Delete".

Step 3 - Close down HL. Double click on "PsonicsUnleashed_v1.4.hl" which will start HL and the install process. Install v1.4.

Step 4- When you start HL it will give a message about needing to update PU but you can ignore and start Pathfinder. I think it asks again if you wish to update just say No.

This way you can go back to a version that is more correctly working for you while we work this out. Though you may get a warning about sources again until you dirty the file up and save it again.

The previous packages you have downloaded are also kept on your computer (if you do not delete them manually), if the name of the package happens to change from version to version. For example, I have just 1 "pathfinder" package on my Mac, but I still have 7 versions of the Community Bestiary (because the version number is in the file name) and 3 of Psionics Unleashed.

On a Mac, the path is (HD)/Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Herolab/Download

(sorry, not near a PC at the time to give the right path for those)
