... material when I have only purchased (an am only interested in) the Pathfinder package. The last couple of 4e updates has prompted my Hero Lab to tell me that new 4e updates are available.
I'd prefer to live my life as though the other packages that I have no interest in don't even exist. Why can't Hero Lab respect that? |

I only get told once that there is an update. I ignore the ones I don't want and move on. I see it as advertising. It's not that big of a deal.

I would be nice to be able to "turn off" updates for other games. In the main screen I only care about 1 game anyway.

Exactly the way I feel. I find the "advertising" annoying. No amount of advertising is going to prompt me to buy game packages I neither play nor have any interest in playing. It's just a constant annoyance I'd rather live without.

Those "other" game systems by the way are just folders in your HeroLab\data directory. If you go to that location you can just delete the extra game systems.
You can also make duplicate's of your existing data sets like Pathfinder if you want different environments data sets to be kept separate. Here is a screen shot of the game systems I have setup and you notice no 4e or MM but lots of d20 and Pathfinder. Though you will have to remove the game folders again anytime HL does an update. Like when going from v3.6g to v3.7 for example. I have deleted everything (folders) off except for the three versions of Hero Lab I run. Modern PFRPG, PFRGP (Core for society play), and the PFRGP with my house rules that is modded. Nothing else is there.
But I STILL get a notice that says I need to update 4E when I do not even have a 4e folder or data set within Hero Lab. As a person that LOATHES 4e. (I know some like it, but I am not one of them) I would much rather see a comment for ANY other game system pop up... but only 4e does. It is very minor, but I too would love to see that go away. |

Here is a screen shot of the notice. I have deleted all other folders from my Hero Lab Data except for the three you see on the load screen. (A Modern version of PF, the normal version of PF, and the house ruled version I use for my game.)
Again, it is a very minor thing that I would not have posted about... but since someone else started one I wanted to add to it. It is a minor thing... but as some married folks may attest, the minor stuff gets to you sometimes. |

Very strange. I don't get that anymore once I removed the 4e data set.
