We’re happy to announce our support plans for the Pathfinder Beginner Box. We’re creating a separate tool specifically for the Beginner Box that will be FREE!

Just like the Beginner Box, this is intended to be an entry level tool, so it will essentially be a Lite version of Hero Lab. Much of the advanced functionality of Hero Lab will be omitted to keep the tool focused and extremely simple for new players. We’ll be releasing this tool before Christmas, so stay tuned for more details in November's newsletter and on the forums.

Super! I am really glad to hear this. The PBB is looking like it will be a great thing to get more players into PF.

And yet another reason to have HL!

Yes. You'll be able to create, print and save characters using the Beginner Box classes, as well as the new class introduced in the Beginner Box Player Pack.

I just got the beginner box for my nephew today. When will the tool be out for herolab? I have the full paid version myself with several packages. Will need to have a separate version of hero lab or can I select it in the hero settings on the starting screen?

Either way, great job so far guys. Can't wait to see what comes up next!

Hey peteday, I think your nephew will be thrilled with the beginner box.
I ran the starter adventure for my friends 3 kids the other day and they loved it. Ages 9, 12 and 14 all three understood the rules and absolutely enjoyed throwing the bones for their actions and loved the combat rules.

Enjoy! Hero lab is a perfect tool for the game.
