So I'm converting everything into Herolab for our game and I have the players excited to use the Herolab Pathfinder App...but my created files are not making the jump.

Are unique magic items just not supported in the App or is their a hoop I'm forgetting to jump through?

Thanks

Not near HL at the moment but it's something like this.

You have to import your user files into the APP.
Look in the tools option of Hero Lab and you'll see the import / export options.

Select any user files to export into a .HL file then email it to your iPad as an attachment. Then open it in the APP.

Got into the Item File Creation tool and found my file in the dropdown...

But it will not generate...it tells me to verify that the filename is valid (it is)

The instructions for how to transfer your .user files from PC to iPad are available in the iPad - on the first screen, where you're choosing which character to use, click "Help on Using Hero Lab" at the bottom, then "How to Use Hero Lab", and "How do I move custom content to Hero Lab?".

Followed the instructions to the letter...now when I try to actually install my file I get the following message

The file could not be imported because: Newer version of Herolab required! Make sure you're using the latest version of the product

I am...I evenw ent so far as to uninstall, update the app and then redownload my file...

Any ideas?

You've double-checked your version numbers?

In the desktop copy, from the Help menu, choose "About Hero Lab"

In the iPad copy, on the Select Portfolio screen, in the top right, there will be a version number below the "View Updates" option. Do both of those numbers match?

ok...it does show different versions...but since I've updated the APP numerous times and it stays the same I have no idea how to get a newer version...

Shouldn't updates actually be the newest one?

my App is 5.1.2

Herolab is 5.2

thanks
