I'm trying to add a new class skill to the Fighter class, but I can't find/edit the core data files for Pathfinder.
I don't want to have to create a whole new custom Fighter class with the class skill added. Is there a way to add a new class skill to a class without creating a custom version of that class? The same thing with races and customizing the core races. Thanks in advance. |

The best way to modify existing classes is by using an Archetype. An archetype does not have to remove features it can be used to simply "add" new features.
Alternate Racial Traits or Ethnicities also work as a great way to "add" new features to core races. I would recommend reading the Glossary of Terms for the Editor. Then check out FAQ#2 for all the places to learn about the editor including YouTube videos. Welcome to the wonderful world of using the HL editor which will be the most frustrating and rewarding thing you can do with Hero Lab.
