I purchased the Ultimate Magic license for Hero Lab some days ago, and it works fine on my desktop. On my laptop using the same license, however, the local installation does not see that the license has been purchased. Login into the License Admin site with the same license number stored in the local installation on my laptop (I have only the one license), I can see that Ultimate Magic shows as purchased.

How do I get my laptop to recognize the license for UM?

Thanks.

You have to go to the license tabe in hero Lab and run reactivate license. Then the option for UM will be avaible.

Thanks Cape. I had already done that twice, but went back and did it again, per your advice, and it worked. Much appreciated.

Each of your computers needs a unique License. If you put the same license on both your main computer and laptop then you have now transferred your license from main computer to laptop.

This is what caused so many people during the 3.7 upgrade issues. If you purchase another date set (ie Complete Combat) and you reactivate your license on your main computer it will now fail.

From the license menu you can request to get your FREE 2nd license to use on your main computer.

Hope that helps.
