So next to where you selected the "starting spellbook" is a ? that you can click on for help. After reading this it seemed that you have to create a new "spellbook" on the Equipment->Spellbook tab to associate to your new class. This is needed is each spellbook is associated directly to a single specific class.
I did that and then on the Class->Class tab I selected the new spellbook. I recompiled everything and its working now without anything in red. I have attached the working copy for reference.
