How do I create custom gear and actually have it charge me the right amount of gold for a PFS character.

I bought an item that is not in any PF books but the GM signed off on it and I need to remove the gold from my character sheet in my Ipad app, but when ever I create a piece of Custom Gear and attempt to set the GP cost to what I want it wont take the gold from my stash.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say "custom gear" what do you mean? A) You used the editor to create a piece of custom gear? B) You are using the "- Custom Gear -" item listed on the "Gear" tab?

So after giving this a try on my iPad I am pretty sure you are talking about the "- Custom Gear -" item. Yea setting a gp cost didn't actually subtract the gold. This "maybe" a bug and I would report it. Please report Pathfinder bugs using the links in this thread is a sticky thread at top of Forum.

Until then I assume you don't have a License for your iPad (using free version)? If you do have a license then you can switch to the Journal tab and put in a "negative" gp amount and click "earn".

If you don't have a license then you will need to find another piece of gear that is the cost you want. Buy it and then sell it for 0gp. Only thing I can think of for now.

You can subtract the gold from your Journal with the free version as well.

You can get to the "Journal" tab without a full license? To be truthful it has been a long time sense I have used the iPad without the Full License.

If you can then "boom" problem solved.

Well... no. Hero Lab is still bugged, but there's a workaround available.
