Animal Companions are gone

Ok, I've been working on a Ranger and playing with the beast master archetype. Before, when i went to the RANGER tab, and clicked on "Add more animal companions", it had a whole list of animal companions to choose from.

Then I purchased ANOTHER set of books. Now, when I click that button, the only item in the list is "ANIMAL COMPANION". There are no more animals. And the drop down IS set to "Everything (all 1 items)".

Where did my animals go? How do I get them back?

Make sure you don't have the option "Don't Restrict Companion Race" checked. I think that causes this issue...

Thanks for the response. I have tried it WITH and WITHOUT that option clicked. Nothing changed.

It shows me only one item in the list of animal companions, one called "Animal Companion". And if i double click that, it adds "Animal Companion" to my character sheet.

I'm going to re-activate/download/import again. Dont know what else to try. This worked fine before i purchased the last addon pack.

Once you've added that "Animal Companion" to your character, press the small button on it that looks like a target. That will switch characters to that animal companion. Then, select the race for that companion.

Then, since you're a Beast Master, and can have more than one companion, switch back to your main character, add another companion, and repeat the process to add a race to it.

Hmm. This seems to be just a knowing what the heck I am doing. I must have figured out how to get the list of animals before by accident, and then forgot how to do it. Sorry for being a dork, and thanks again for the help.
