So I'm posting this here since I don't have enough information to send an error report to the bug people, or even if it can be called an error.
Every time I make a Society character, I get this error: >Damage Reduction (0/silver or magic): this selection is not available to Sathfinder Society Campaign characters. I have been unable to find the source of this error, despite two or so months of fiddling with my Society character configuration. What am I missing here? |

My guess would be you have an old out of date addon in use on your computer. Start HL and Pathfidner. Then go to “Tools->Manage Third Party Update” and list in this thread what you see...

No issues. Based on what some else mentioned before this DR error message is related to the Spheres of Power addon. I thought it was fixed before but 1.32 appears to be the latest version.
I would ask the TheIronGolem about it the SoP thread. I can confirm that the Community Pack and Gestalt do not have a "silver or magic" DR in them and that you do have the latest versions installed. random suggestion, remove all third party packages, close HL, then re-install the packages. Just in case a file that should have been updated didn't get updated.

The DR has been around since before I got Spheres, though. And Spheres is ticked off in character configuration.

I was going off another post I found that mentioned "Silver or Magic" was from SoP. The one thing is that often DR abilities are not source marked always meaning that turning off a option does not make them go away. Plus DR always attaches itself to all characters but being at a value of 0 causes it to not appear. Do you remember manually installing any .user files or creating any of your own? Because the Manage Third Party addons only show ones that where installed not ones where you manually placed the .user files into the data folder. Another idea is use a text search program against the C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\data\pathfinder folder looking for 'silver or magic' words. See if that will tell us the file name as that would point to where its coming from. In a more extreme case you could do a fresh install of Pathfinder and just the three addons you have listed. This will make sure any old .user files are removed.
Follow these steps: 1) Shut down HL. 2) Open windows explore and to go C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Data\ and rename the folder "Pathfinder" to "PathfinderOld". 3) Go to the C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Download\ and look for Pathfinder.hl file and double click to start the install. Tell it yes to install. 4) From the game selection window download Pathfinder Gestalt, Pathfinder Pack and SoP again and let them install. 5) On the list of game systems you will have two Pathfinder games one that says "PathfinderOld" under the logo. Start the Pathfinder game with no words under the logo. 6) Start HL and Pathfinder. Open your character and see if the error is gone. 7) If everything is working as you want feel free to delete the whole folder "C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Data\PathfinderOld".
