The additional HD issue - make sure you're creating an NPC, not a PC - Page 2

That ain't it...it least not for me.

I had already created this particular character before the last major update and everything was fine up 'till then. What's more, any additional characters I make (even now as NPCs) still have the same problem.

Can anyone give me a set of steps to replicate the error you're encountering? I can't figure out how to create any errors with the additional HD as long as the character is an NPC.

Create new portfolio. NPC. Enemy. Select Giant Stag beetle. Add additional hit Dice. See previously attached screenshot for results. All official supplemental sources selected in configure hero options.

I still get the same errors as well - any combination I have tried of PC/NPC, enemy/ally, several different races, all result in dependency errors and the additional HD or size increase having no effect.

Same error here (with creating an NPC). However, if I check the option "Allow PCs to add Bonus HD" when creating the portfolio it works fine with NPCs.

Ah yes, that now makes it work. Also makes the Size Increase work as well, oddly enough.

Thanks will try that out when I get home. Didn't even know about that option.

I am still getting the "not allowed" error for NPCs that I add more HD to.

To replicate the error take any race with racial HD and add a Extra HD. The new HD will show as an error and will not alter anything. It happens EVEN WHEN THE character is an NPC!

Now when I allow PCs to have extra HD the error dose not happen with NPCs or PCs.
